1961 Ford Galaxie Starliner Original Z-Code

This is an original z code, 1961 Starliner. I am the second owner. If you want an amazing 60s Galaxie, this one has to be at the top of your list. I don’t keep a lot of cars around for long, but I've had this car for 20+ years…bought it from the original owner and have all the original documentation on file. Comes with original factory tripower option, which took hp from 375 to 401. Original interior was red and white...I changed it to tan and black with new original door panels, headliner, carpeting, dash pad, window felts. New tinted glass. Engine has been completely rebuilt and is up to the factory specs except the higher lift 427 Ford cam (was installed at the time of rebuild)…was also balanced and blueprinted. The heads were redone with hardened valve seats.

Everything on it that I could buy new has been replaced (brakes, brake lines, heavy duty station wagon front springs, wheel cylinders, drums, tires, driveshaft, radiator, starter, weather stripping and windshield seals trim, teardrop bubble hood, trunk pad, water pump, emblems, front fender spears, gas tank...everything. Even the rear grill below the trunk is new).

The body had some rust, so I purchased a rust free body from Arizona and that's what's on it now. As you can see, I haven't installed the new washboards on the quarter panels (didn't want to drill the metal). They come with the car and are new (in trunk...never been on car). Also, the hubcaps come with it. Was originally a 3 speed overdrive. I changed it over to a 4 speed. I have the original 3 speed overdrive conversion with the car. Has a new 2.5” aluminized exhaust connected to the original cast iron headers. This car an original...not a clone. I have dragstrip slips from the original owner where it ran in the high 12's. I've only driven it on the street a few times to a couple of shows. Was a labor of love.
