I am listing this vehicle for a friend of mine. He has written the description which is as follows,

“Here is a beautiful 1955 Mercury Montclair two door hardtop. Rebuilt from the ground up. The color is Alaska White with a Gulf Blue top and matching blue door trim. The paint is in new condition. The car features power brakes, power steering, Merc-O Matic drive, custom fender skirts and a new 12 volt battery.

The rear end is of pumpkin style with 411 gears and a three core updated radiator. In 2006 the stainless was removed and polished, all chrome redone, car was stripped to bare metal and repainted correctly with the original colors. New interior was installed in the blue and white style with new inner door panels, carpets and headliner. The air cleaner and valve covers were then powder coated. It has all new wind lace and trunk boards, plus new oil and water sending units. New heater and defroster ducts were then replaced. A new power brake unit was replaced and new points, condenser, coil with new wires were also replaced. I also have a car cover that comes with the car in the trunk. The 312CI Thunderbird engine was rebuilt and transmission was found in great condition. I put new 225/75/15 whitewall tires on it in 2011. The mileage is 63206 and I believe this to be correct as the pedals show very little ware. All the above work and information was done by the previous owner in 2005 or 06. These Mercury Montclair’s have become very scarce and hard to find in decent condition. They are VERY collectible today. This car is for sale from my collection only because I have found another 55 Mercury Montclair high point trailer queen. I purchased my first new car in 1955. A Mercury Montclair in San Jose, Calif. I have loved their look ever since. This car is in beautiful condition and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.  It gets up to 30 miles to the gallon. I have placed only about 1500 miles since I purchased it in 2011. I have shown it 4 times and it trophied each time. The trophies can come with the car if so desired. This rare car is 1 of 71,588 produced.”
