As seen in the pictures down below this nice looking 1998 Mercedes SLK230 Kompressor Hard Top Convertible with only 55k miles has a light front end damage. This vehicle was directly purchased from insurance auctions for resale in the condition you see it on the pics. No middle man involved. We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) at hand and ready to transfer to the new owner. Such vehicles can be legally returned back to the roads after repairs and your state motor vehicles inspection. Damaged areas are clearly shown in the pictures below. Looks like it was a light high hit above the front bumper assembly hence the front bumper rebar is fully in tact and front frame rails are straight. No suspension damage observed. Front cooling components (radiator, condensor, fans..etc) all look to be in tact and radiator reservoir still has fluid. We ran the car for several minutes and did not observe any leaks. All airbags are ok. All glass ok. The great news is that the car starts, engine runs great, goes into gear and we are able to drive it around within our lot. Interior is in good condition as seen in the pictures down below. Power convertible top opens/closes fine with the push of a button. Only 55k actual miles! Overall should be a straight forward easy fixer with used parts available either here on ebay or at online junk yard website car-part.com. Mainly needs the hood, headlights, grille, and front bumper cover. Radiator support is bent and may be fixable. See below photos for overall condition and please ask questions before making a purchase and not after.

Again, the car starts, engine runs great, all airbags ok and the car lot runs/drives.

A SMALL NOTE ON SALVAGE VEHICLES

We specifically deal with light damaged or theft recovered salvage rebuildable vehicles. This vehicle was picked up from an insurance auction for resale. We directly purchase from insurance auctions and no middle man involved. Insurance companies usually salvage vehicles due to collision, theft, flood..etc. but this doesn't mean that they are beyond repair. In most cases its not the actual damage to the car that causes a vehicle to be salvaged but the circumstances under which they are declared salvage. For example, theft recovered vehicles are always salvaged since they are usually recovered after the owner is paid off by the insurance company. Or the owner might not want the vehicle after going through an accident even if the damages are light and easily repairable such as our cars. Whatever the case is these cars can easily be returned to the streets and that is why they're sold through auctions as repairable vehicles.

We have the salvage certificate of title (no-liens) in our possession and it will be re-assigned to the new owner to follow up with their state salvage process. Every state has its own salvage process and its usually filling out some forms and taking the car to an inspection after repairs (if any repairs are needed). Please check with your local motor vehicle center for the exact procedures and rules/regulations.
