Up for sale we have a 1961 Chevy Impala 2 Door Hardtop. All of the ’61 Impalas were known as bubble tops. The top lines were only used in 61 and part of 62 so these cars had a look all their own. The one we are offering has the a killer look that is paired with an Aluminum Head Small block under the hood. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. We will start off with the exterior of the Impala. When you look down the sides it has a straight and solid body that has good lines. The fit of the doors is very good along with the side glass. Everything is covered in the Tuxedo Black Paint that has a deep rich shine that is accented by the white inlay in the side chrome. At the time of the resto new weather stripping and seals were installed. The stainless down the sides’ looks very good along with the grill and window trim. As for the bumper they have also been replaced along with other chrome. The final touch that sets it apart in a crowd is the new 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels with new tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Bubble Top. Everything on the interior looks like it did in ’61. The seat covers are done in the stock style red with the white and gray inserts that complement to the exterior scheme perfectly. It also has the red carpet and dash with the White headliner. The dash all looks correct with only an upgrade to the radio. The interior of this Chevy is extra nice with working dome lights.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it’s powered by an Aluminum Head 350 that is mated to a 400 Turbo trans and the stock rear end. The engine is dressed with an aluminum intake and valve covers. Also, it has a Chrome Alternator and Aluminum Water Pump. The exhaust flows through a set of Shorty headers and a set of Flows. This Impala comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes. Under the hood is all painted and shows very well. When you look under this Chevy everything appears solid with good floor and frame rails.

Mileage
Unless the car is advertised as an original Mileage car do not assume that the Mileage/Odometer reading is the actual mileage. It is simply what the odometer is reading at the time of the pictures. IT IS NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE UNLESS STATED SO IN DESCRIPTION.
Terms and Conditions
Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`.
