This 1970 Chevy CST is the nicest truck we have ever had grace our showroom. This goes for all Chevys, Fords, Studebakers, Internationals, you name it. The quality of this restoration is just rarely seen in the pickup truck world. The term number 1 is thrown around rather loosely, but this truck truly is a #1, concours quality vehicle. 

At the start of the restoration, the truck was removed from the frame and the cab, frame, and all of the panels were stripped down to bare metal. The truck has had countless hours of blocking, and the body work on the CST is incredibly straight from front to rear. Upon reassembly of the panels and doors, excellent gaps were achieved giving the truck a very uniform look. The paint is a base/clear Medium Olive with White, which is factory correct per the glove box sticker. It has been color sanded and buffed and is free of texture. 

 All of the body hardware was replaced with stainless hardware from front to rear, and every piece of stainless trim is new. Of course, all the rubber from front to rear on the truck  has been replaced to suit, as has all of the glass. The front and rear bumper are new chrome, the front grill is new and all the hardware in the bed is polished stainless. The quality of the undercarriage on the truck is spot on with all the cleanliness and attention to detail of the topside. Speaking of spots, there is not so much as a water spot on the undercarriage. The frame is finished in gloss black as are all of the metal suspension components. All of the body bushings are of course new and every screw nut and bolt on the undercarriage is in brand new mint condition. The paint on the undercarriage has even been buffed out and waxed. Wow! 

The engine compartment is a thing of detailed beauty and in it sits the rebuilt 350 engine. On top of the motor is a beautifully restored Holley carburetor as well as the correct intake, heads and exhaust manifolds. All of the paint finishes in the engine compartment are show quality and all of the fasteners are new from top to bottom. The AC system has been accurately restored with all of the correct hoses and clamps and blows ice cold air. The cooling system has been restored from top to bottom and detailed out. The Turbo Hydra-matic transmission has been completely rebuilt and has been detailed to the nines just like the rest of the truck, and the 12 bolt posi rear end has been rebuilt as well. 

All of the suspension and brake components were restored during the restoration. The shocks and springs are all new as are all of the bushings, tie rod ends, and ball joints. The steering box has been rebuilt and is tight as can be. The brakes have a new master, new booster, new cylinders and new shoes. The lines are new from front to rear and the system works perfectly. 

The interior is completely new from top to bottom, down to the restored seat brackets. Have a look under the dash and it's cherry wherever you put your eyes. The wiring is brand new throughout the truck, as is the fuse box. No weird after thoughts or old wiring parts here. Just clean, flowing harness. The cab has been lined in Dynamat for a quieter ride.

There are many other trucks on the market at many different price points and quality levels. If you are particular and knowledgeable about classic vehicles, the quality on this truck will stand up to the most scrutinizing eyes.
