BODY, TRIM and PAINT
Overall the upper body remains in fair and very original condition. All upper body panels are very straight with excellent gaps around the hood, doors and rear decklid. Both doors are original and shut with that solid factory feel. During our inspection, we could find no evidence of the typical front or rear clips. The hood is original with perfect factory alignment holes and has never been kinked. Rear deck lid is also original and is stamped 666. Chassis number (117666) is stamped on the metal chassis plate riveted to the trunk floor, stamped in trunk floor and the stamped on the chassis plate on the door hinge cover. There are some small spots of rust in the lower outer doors skins and a couple of small rust spots at the rear. There is one small area of surface rust at the leading edge of the hood. The longitudinals and floors will need replacement, but the floors are still very strong and can definitely carry the weight of the seats and engine parts during shipment. Battery box is solid with no serious rust.
All of the exterior trim parts are present and are the originals, except the wiper blades. All of the chrome shines up nicely with no severe pitting, other than the exterior door handles which have heavy pitting. All glass is original and clear with no cracks. Headlight glass is also original.
The original color was and still is Ivory (paint color code 738). The current paint appears to be an older repaint over the original paint. Paint meter readings over the majority of the car measure in the range of 300 to 350 microns. The paint would definitely shine up very well with some detailing.
INTERIOR
The Black Leatherette interior is original and overall has remained in fair condition considering it's age. The front seats a very nice with no rips and the driver seat has insert brackets for an optional headrest, thought the headrest is missing. Original dash gauges (correct Super tach is there), clock, dash knobs/switches, ash tray and glove box door liner are present. The original steering wheel is present and in very good original condition with it's rare optional chrome horn ring. Original interior door handles and window cranks are all present.
ELECTRICALS
After connecting a good battery we confirmed that the left headlight, both tail lights, license plate lights, gauge warning lights, both horns, original Bendix Saphire I radio and wiper motor are all functional. Odometer currently shows 62,219 miles.

ENGINE and TRANSMISSION
The original 1600cc Super engine (number 700074, type number 616/12, all three case pieces stamped 171) is disassembled and is ready for rebuilding. The engine is complete and includes a very low mileage set of JE pistons and cylinders.
The original 4 speed 741 transmission shifts into each gear properly. Note that we will check the transmission date code and serial number during the auction and will add that information and photos to the listing.
SUSPENSION, WHEELS, TIRES and BRAKES
The suspension is complete and appears to be very original. Shocks feel strong. Steering feels smooth and responsive with correct alignment.
Correct 15" x 4.5" chrome wheels are installed and in good condition. The original spare wheel is also included. The wheels have 1961 and 1962 year date codes as shown in the photos.
All four radial tires are holding air.
The brakes are partially functional and will likely need rebuilding due to long term storage. All four brake drums are the correct finned B drums. The emergency brake is correctly adjusted and holds tight.
