The car has been nothing but good to me, no problems whatsoever. I've put 5k trouble free miles on the vert. I've always had it garaged. I can honestly say this has been my most solid VW I've ever had. Doors open and close w one finger no saggy doors here. I replaced the front windshield and the muffler. I did a tuneup recently. Replaced all gas lines w/new ones. The reason for selling it is I just don't get to drive it as much as I should so therefore it needs to go to a new home and can be loved and taken care of and driven more than I can drive it because these cars really love to be driven in that's how you keep them happy. Motor is 1600 dual port motor with about 20,000 miles on it. Leaks very little oil and is super strong. Gearbox shifts into all gears easily, no problem. Car has a collapsible shifter for security purposes. It was a accessory that VW offered. Completely stock interior. I have the back window for the vert. The car will need a top. Never had any reason to do the top because I drive it when it's nice out. Comes w/extra set of roll up front windows. Also I have a box of west coast metric vert parts to do the top. I've been quoted by two shops 3 k to do the vert top. Car will be sold as is. I'm sad to see it go but as the VW saying says time for a new home.
