FOR SALE IS A 1985 AMC JEEP CJ8 SCRAMBLER

The vehicle recieved a full frame off restoration back in the late 1990's and has seen little on and off road use since that time.

Primarily the vehicle has been used on my property but was used around the country being flat towed behind our motor home for a few vacations out east and in the Colorado Rockies primarily at Camp Jeep.

The vehicle has recieved the following during the restoration:

  • Full Nut and Bolt Restoration
  • Frame sanblasted, painted and coated with rust preventive wax coating
  • New brake lines and hoses
  • New drums, rotors, brake linings and New not rebuilt calipers.
  • Rebuilt front and rear axles with new bearings and u-joints
  • New True Track traction differential in the rear axle
  • Urethane suspension bushings throughout
  • Rancho 5000 fully adjustable shocks
  • New heavy duty shackles front and rear
  • 4WD Hardware fiberglass scrambler body, with hood, fenders, windshield frame and tail gate
  • 4WD Hardware full Roll Cage with touchdowns on outriggers welded to the frame (see photo's)
  • Full Kayline Soft Top
  • New Kayline Soft Doors just installed.
  • Sahara Front and 2 rear fold and tumble seats in very good to like new condition.
  • New Clutch, pressure plate, rebuilt trans and resealed transfer case at the time of the restoration.
  • Later model Wrangler 4.2L engine
  • New 3 row radiator
  • New plastic gas tank
  • New not rebuilt carburetor at the time of the restoration
  • New rebuilt starter, alternator and solenoid
  • Additional items that go with the vehicle
    • Full fiberglass hard top
    • 2 rust free doors still in ecoat (not painted) with interior trim panels
    • 4 Blizzak snows mounted on painted CJ Wheels
  • Odometer shows 148,000 miles which is not actual or acurate.

The only part not fiberglass is the front grill which has a few small rust spots at the bottom

The body is still in white gel coat and has not been painted.

This jeep is used and thus has some general wear and tear with a few small oil leaks (see photo's)

No waranty is expressed or implied and the vehicle is sold as is.

Once purchased the vehicle can be picked up in Whitmore Lake, Michigan or the purchaser can arrange shipping.
