The motor in the car was instalald in the late 60's by Chick Iverson Porsche (photo documentation) when the original engine failed. The current motor case is 'all' matching #'s (both back #'s, middle case #'s and front case #.) The motor in the car is from a Nov-Dec production '59. It is a normal motor built to "S" specs. The work was commissioned to Vasek Polak in 1967.
Less than 2k miles on the motor since the rebuild. This car has been in storage for the last 25 years.
Originally Silver Metallic (color code 5706, Reutter no. 608). Much of the original R-608 body paint visible throughout the car. Painted to Slate Grey with documentation going back to the early 60's in that color. The dash was not painted and retains it's original R-608 paint.
