Body, Trim and Paint
Having always resided in California and Arizona, the body of this GTV 2000 remains in good original condition. Upper body panels are straight. The underside of the car is in good structural condition with solid rockers and trunk floor. The front floors and left rear floor are solid with no rust. The right rear floor pan has some rust, but is mostly solid. All four original jack points are present, original and solid. Hood, doors and trunk lid fit is good.
All trim parts are in fair to good original condition. Chrome is in fair condition with a very nice front grille. Glass is in very good condition with a documented windshield and seal replacement in 2002. Front and rear light lenses are appear to be originals with no cracks. All weatherstripping is present and in fair condition. The bumpers are in fair condition.
The car is currently wearing an 12 year old repaint in Metallic Green. Original color was Metallic Robinia (Ruby Red). The original color is visible in some hidden areas and is a very attractive color. The paint has just been detailed and it shined up well. There are several paint blemishes, with the most noticeable being cracks at the tops of both rear fenders. Note that the body metal under these areas is very solid and can be closely inspected in our photo album. Overall, the paint is in fair condition.
