This Classic 1973 VW Camper Van is fresh from the paint shop and ready to enjoy! This VW runs and drives great, starts right up, purrs like it should and shifts into gear like it should and goes very well. The clutch is tight, shifts well and the motor sounds great at all speeds with no leaks or smoking. Brakes are good all around and the suspension is still tight and solid, its drives down the street well.....Couldn't be better for a 40 year old baby...
This van was a solid 95% rust free body and looks magnificent with excellent luster and shine in its original color Orange. A well known local body shop sanded, painted and finished all the paint to a nice standard. The fiberglass top was in nice condition and cleaned. It pops up just like it should. All doors, hatch, slider, vent windows and other windows all work well like the should. The floors were very solid and did not need to be repaired, the interior is all original and is coming together well even as I write this description...
On the inside, the front seats are being reupholsterd in cream/tan vinyl like the original, re-foamed and comfy. The rear cushions and bed cushion is original and being cleaned as are the curtains and the pop up camper screen. While original, these items are not perfect and show their age a bit. The interior dash and gauges are working as is all the lights in and out, heater, wipers etc. Also included is the table, there is no stove
This VW van is a great solid running van that needs a little more TLC to make it your own. I have purposely kept as stock as possible to allow the lucky new owner to customize as they see fit.
