Up for sale we have a 1962 Chevy Impala Convertible. In ’62 Chevy gave the Impala a new look with a new grill and tail panel. The one we have for you may be one of the nicest ones you will find. It’s been rebuilt from the front to back and top to bottom. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. We will start off with the exterior of the Impala. When you look down the sides you will see it’s laser straight. It’s easy to see this was a frame off build. The body was set off the frame and pulled apart. All the body work was done and then everything was reinstalled to ensure a good fit before being taken back apart for paint. Everything is covered in the Maroon Pearl Paint that has been buffed and polished to a deep rich shine and is accented by the new convertible top that is done in Carmel and new back glass. It has had new stainless installed and what appears to be new glass. All the weather stripping was replaced as well as the window felt and seals. Also it has new one piece Bumpers and other new chrome. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” American Racing Wheels and New Tires.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the ’62. The interior is every bit as nice as the exterior and provides the perfect complement to the exterior scheme being done in Carmel and Brown make for a killer look inside and out. It has bucket seats that are correct for the car and a custom console that has a Lokar Shifter with the Air Ride Controls and Vintage AC controls in it. The dash and carpet is done in a dark brown the seats and door panels being Carmel and brown. It has power Windows that work as they should. The radio has been upgraded to a Vintage AM/FM and this ride also has seat belts.
Finally we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has a small block V8 that is mated to a 700R Trans. The engine has been dressed to the max with a Polished Intake and Valve Covers with a custom breather. And for the Chrome it has the AC Compressor, Alternator, Booster and Master Cylinder. Also, it has coated headers with flow master exhaust. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator. The fire wall has been painted to match the exterior of the car and the inner fenders are done in black. The brakes are Front Disc with Drilled and Slotted Tors. Also it has Power Steering. As we said earlier this is a frame off resto with the floor pans painted to match the car and the frame being done in black. Also it has ride tech Air Ride System for the front and back, and all the fuel lines and brake lines were replaced.
This is a car that you could buy and take straight to a show or hop in and drive for a weekend cruise. It’s easily one of the nicest Impalas that we have owned and is sure to not disappoint. Mileage
Unless the car is advertised as an original Mileage car do not assume that the Mileage/Odometer reading is the actual mileage. It is simply what the odometer is reading at the time of the pictures. IT IS NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE UNLESS STATED SO IN DESCRIPTION.
Terms and Conditions
Winning bidder must contact us within 24 hours of auction end, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A $1000.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of end of auction. The remainder is due within 5 days of auction end. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 1995 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before bidding. Please arrange financing prior to bidding.
Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle. If you wish to have it shipped using a service, we will gladly cooperate. You can locate shippers by doing a search for `auto shippers`.
If you are not sure about something, please ask! Do not assume anything not listed is included. We reserve the right to cancel bids for excessive negative feedback. We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
