Up for sale we have a 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS 396. This is a real Super Sport with a certificate of Authenticity from Jerry MacNeish showing it to be a L78 396/375HP SS Chevelle that has the L89 Aluminum Heads upgrade. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Chevelle. You can see the time that was spent to ensure a good fit of all the panels. All the stainless looks good as well as the glass. They replaced all the weather stripping and seals as well. When you look at the chrome, the bumpers look new as well as other trim. This Chevelle is painted in the factory Tuxedo Black that is slick with a deep rich shine that shows very well. The final exterior touch is the set of factory SS wheels with a set of Goodyear Red Line tires.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Super Sport. On the inside it’s all done in black that flows with the exterior perfectly. It has the bucket seats and console with the correct shifter. Also it has the gauge pack dash with factory tach. The radio is the Factory AM/FM with a remote 8track in the glove box.

Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has an L78 396/375HP Big Block with the L89 (GM ALUMINUN HEADS) upgrade. The engine is dressed with the stock aluminum intake and Holley Carb. It has the chrome valve covers along with a chrome breather. Also it retain the stock manifolds with 2 ½” Exhaust with Flow Master Mufflers. This Chevelle retains the smog pump and a stock looking engine compartment. The engine is mated to a Muncie 4 Speed and a 12 Bolt Rear End with 4.10 Gears. This Chevelle has power steering and power front disc brakes. The floors and frame appear super solid with no signs of rust or rot.
