We are the Tom Masano Auto Group located in Reading, PA. We have the following new car franchise dealerships: Ford, Lincoln, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mazda and Mitsubishi (as well as 2 additional used car dealerships).
But here's the neat part --- We sell 500+ used cars, trucks and SUVs a month!
So, what should we do with all of our trades?
Previously, we were taking about 100-200 "AS-IS" vehicles to local Dealer Only auctions.
But we thought to ourselves, "Hey, why don't we offer these vehicles directly to the public on eBay", essentially, cutting out the "middle man". The "middle man" would be other dealers buying our cars at the Dealer Only auctions and then reselling them to all of you! So, here we are today!
Here's the rest of the story. All of our cars, trucks and SUV's that we list on eBay are sold with a strict "AS-IS" policy! What this means to the buyer is there is absolutely no warranty or guarantee of any kind. Many of these cars are commonly referred to as " mechanic specials" - these types of cars are ones that will need some type of work to them to be worthy of being driven on a regular basis.
If your purchase the vehicle, drive it off the lot and it breaks in half.... you own 2 halves!!!!!
- If Reading, PA is too far of a drive to come and pre-inspect our vehicles, then please DO NOT bid on any of our vehicles.
- We do not inspect, service, or drive these vehicles. We have no knowledge as to their roadworthy condition. What you see is all we know. If we cannot get the vehicle started or moved, we will note that in the description (i.e. blown motor, bad transmission).
- So, If you bid, plan on buying a car that is being sold AS-IS with NO form of warranty.
Bring your friends, neighbors, relatives and or your mechanic with you if you want to check the vehicles out before you bid or buy. We highly recommend you at least come test drive the vehicle so that you know it runs and drives.
If you have any questions on taxes or titling you can call or Business Development Center @ 1-877-TOM-MASANO. THEY WILL NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ACTUAL VEHICLES.
Now, this policy will reflect in aggressive starting bids of $5 on eBay.
