So, like any Porsche we could go on and on about the technical stuff like yes it has a 3.4L flat six paired with a purists 7 speed manual transmission that gives you a whopping 350 horsepower. Yeah, we could talk about all of that but that's just the guts of the car. This car is about the emotional experience of getting into it every time and with the turn of the key feeling the 350hp engine rev and vibrate your Porsche's soul.

So, let's just get to it. The DRIVE. First thing you'll notice in the Carrera Coupe is the sound. That devious sound. The gurgle of the exhaust will get you every time. It will remind you that this is no ordinary Porsche, this is the Carrera. Or naturally aspirated nirvana as I'd like to call it. Put the 7 speed manual shifter into first gear and ease off the brake, you'll then get immediate throttle response and you are off. Squeeze the accelerator and you'll find that the Carrera paired with the 7 speed manual transmission is both extremely responsive yet predictable. Push your sport button and you'll find a throttle response that goes from normal to aggressive, or push that "sport plus" button and you'll feel like Lewis Hamilton!

Oh, the handling and ride on the Carrera is sublime! With a Macpherson suspension standard you get a extremely smooth and adaptable ride in the Carrera. The grip that the C2 provides is both extreme and what every Porsche should feel like. Don't get us wrong, every Porsche has amazing grip. . . the 991 Carrera 2 just does it even better. These handle like a mid engine Boxster or Cayman in some respects. Finding the apex in this car is absolutely no problem whatsoever. You'll find that the wheel base extension and front track widening has made this new iteration of the 911 the best yet! So, whether you are crusing in your local city or out at the track we find the Carrera is potentially one of the best 911's that we've seen in awhile and a bargain for the extra equipment and exclusitivity that you'll be receiving.

To be honest, when driving a Carrera before previously I didn't even turn the radio on. Just rolled the windows down and listened to the angry exhaust system scream at other cars that were near me.
