Up for sale we have a 1955 Mercury Montclair. In ’55 they gave the full size Mercury a new look. The one we have for sale has had a full face lift with fresh paint and all new interior. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and driveline of the Mercury, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 50 to 60 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the ’55. When you walk around this ride you will see a solid and straight body with good lines. All the stainless has good fit and it all looks good. The window trim looks very good as well as all the glass. The bumpers and other chrome looks like new and all fits well. As best we can tell the paint on this Merc is the correct Persimmon. They did a nice job with the jams and inside the trunk. The paint has a good slick finish and a deep shine. The final exterior touch is the set of factory wheel covers and a set of wide whites.

Next, we will take a look at the interior of the Montclair. It all looks like new with the seats being the correct bench. They are covered in what looks to be the right style black and white. The door panels, carpet, and headliner all looks good. When you look at the dash it all looks correct with nice trim that is painted to match the outside color.

Finally, we will take a look under the hood. It’s powered by a 292 V8 that looks as it did in ’55. The inner fenders and fire wall are all neat and clean. The trans is a Automatic. When you look under this car all the pans look great with no signs of rust or rot. The frame looks solid and correct. This is a great car that has a good look. Mileage

Unless the car is advertised as an original Mileage car do not assume that the Mileage/Odometer reading is the actual mileage.  It is simply what the odometer is reading at the time of the pictures.  IT IS NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE UNLESS STATED SO IN DESCRIPTION.
