Built mid 1967, car has SRI E-Type Features
including: interior, bumpers, high
performance 4.2 liter engine with triple SU
carburetor system. Vehicle has open
headlights. This car has desirable toggle
switch dash. Note that if desired, the
covered
headlights can certainly be added. Titled in
1968 at the time it was shipped to the US,
data and records show that this car is a
matching numbers 1968 SR I 1/2 E-type
roadster.
It was built in mid 1967 at the tail end of
the SR I production. This car is an
excellent example of the breed and was
restored several years ago. The restoration
included, but was not limited to; a complete
body repaint (including the exterior,
engine area, trunk, and undercarriage), a
detailed engine bay, a complete new leather
interior, a new top (including top frame
restoration), new tires, and a thorough
restoration of the mechanics (including the
key components - engine, transmission,
clutch, suspension, etc.). The car also has
an updated sound system, new tires, new
trunk kit, new rubber, and the details
expected and typically done on a restoration
of
this expert caliber. The car's exterior is
finished in striking Jaguar Carmen Red, with
a beautiful Beige Leather interior. This car
has been stored in safe, dry and salt-free
environment. Since its restoration the car
has only been used as a pleasure vehicle and
show car. This series 1.5 will please the
