Up for auction is a 1980 Jeep CJ7. This Jeep was professionally frame off restored by Tarheel 4WD Center in Charlotte, NC in 2006. The CJ7 has 3,158 miles since the restoration was finished. As you can see in the many pictures this Jeep has been well cared for since the restore. I have the receipts on the restore ($24,361); not including the original CJ and not including wheels & tires and other parts and upgrades since that time. I also have an appraisal on the Jeep from 2007 of $32k which is the amount that the previous owner had this CJ7 insured for.

This Jeep is a drop dead knockout with smooth, slick, deep black paint with a silver Renegade stripe package. It has a 4” BDS suspension lift (just the right amount), and Pro Comp Mud Terrains (35’s) mounted on polished American Racing wheels. The front and rear chrome tubular bumpers are from Smittybilt, and it has new fender flares, new marker lights, new Amber front turn signals, new stainless mirrors and hood latches, powder coated rocker moldings, and new windshield and rubber seal. It comes with a full Bestop soft top & doors and a new Bestop strapless bikini top.

The engine is an AMC 304ci V8 from JASPER Engines & Transmissions. The fuel is delivered with a Howell TBI Fuel Injection system topped with a Spectre polished aluminum single inlet plenum HPR air filter. It has OMIX polished valve covers, HEI billet distributor, MSD 8mm spark plug wires, new radiator, and an Optima red top battery. This CJ has the original exhaust manifolds with the original smog hooked up. The motor breathes through a custom built stainless exhaust system. Under the hood is neat and clean and the under hood, fender wells, and the firewall are painted and cleared like the exterior paint. It has power steering. The motor runs excellent with good power and it is dependable. The engine has 3,158 miles also as it was put in new when the Jeep was restored.

The interior is clean and was new when restored also including new Bestop high back seats and a new Bestop rear seat, all with seat belts. It has a new carpet kit, roll bar pad, gauges, bezels, wiring, speedo cable, switches, knobs, grommets, new heater core, and new visors. It comes with a full Bestop soft top & doors as well as a new Bestop strapless bikini top. It has a tachometer and a Kenwood CD stereo with a pair of Sony 6x9 boxes mounted in the rear. The horn, all lights, turn signals, and gauges work except (you probably guessed it), the fuel gauge does not work.

Underneath this CJ is clean and restored. The transmission is a T170 4-speed top loader, and the rear end is an AMC 20 with 1-piece axles and a 3.54 gear and the front axle is a Dana 30 also with a 3.54 gear (all new when restored). The transfer case is a bullet proof Dana 300. It has a 4” suspension lift from BDS including shocks, shackles, bushings, and leaf springs. The body bushings are new as well as, rear brakes including wheel cylinders, front disc brakes, brake cables, ball joints, u-joints, fuel lines, hub assembly’s, bearings, tie rod ends, springs, nuts, bolts, clutch and clutch kit and so forth and so on.

This is a real good Jeep CJ7 and it’s dependable. It rides, drives, and handles well, especially for a CJ. The new owner will be happy!

The pictures listed below were just taken the day of this listing and the Jeep is clean and dry in my building. I have the clear title.
