Engine with the Serial Number on the Block, born a Powerglide Transmission { again - Code is on the Block } , now Upgraded to a 700R 4 Speed-OVERDRIVE- Auto } and  has the original the 12 Bolt Positraction Rearend with 3:73 Ratio. In the restoration process the car was upgraded by adding the remaining trim items to transform the car into an SS Car, making this a Very Rare Impala !  Only way you could tell this car wasn't born an " SS " is the serial number, That's It ! The 396 Engine has the Correct Casting # { 3855961 }, it has the Pad # 0510LB and it does have the last 6 Digits of the serial # stamped on the pad, sloppily stamped - as they all did  in 65 & 66, I know, I worked at  a GM Dealership back then.  The body is Lazer Straight, Beautiful Paint, highly detailed under the hood, in the trunk, beautiful inside and fully detailed underneath. The Vacuum Gauge Works, the Clock Works, the Gauges Work,the Back-up Lights Work and a new AM/FM Stereo.   The drivetrain was all gone thru, brakes were new, new exhaust, new suspension parts, nothing was left to be .
