First Owner When the first owner(s) obtains a title from a Department of Motor Vehicles as proof of ownership. Ownership History CARFAX defines an owner as an individual or business that possesses and uses a vehicle. Not all title transactions represent changes in ownership. To provide estimated number of owners, CARFAX proprietary technology analyzes all the events in a vehicle history. Estimated ownership is available for vehicles manufactured after 1991 and titled solely in the US including Puerto Rico. Dealers sometimes opt to take ownership of a vehicle and are required to in the following states: Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and South Dakota. There are numerous reliable shipping companies that specialize in interstate vehicle shipment. Responsibility for shipping rests entirely with the buyer.

We have had a lot of inquiries as to why we run Private Auctions. So let us explain, We have had a lot of emails from people complaining that they were getting emails from other sellers trying to sell them their vehicles off of our auctions, which is considered a form of harassment. Such actions are very hard to control so we inquired from eBay how to handle it. They advised us to run private auctions that would stop the harassment and interference. In a private auction all the bidders names are hidden and not visible to the bogus seller that does not wish to spend their money to sell their item.
