This Vanagon is an uncommon model a - a non walk through, eight seater with no power steering or a/c. The only options were the rear wiper (which is nice to have) and radio prep. We have the original window sticker and books. It is Pastel White with a tan vinyl interior. The lack of power steering and a/c greatly simplifies the engine compartment and eliminates 2 items that commonly need repairs.

We purchased this bus in Washington state after it was donated to charity. It was supposed to be non-operational (assume needs engine) When it arrived, the pleasant surprise was that it was just out of gas. The engine actually ran fine! But the fuel pump was on its way out, so for the first round of service we changed the fuel pump & filter, oil & oil filter, spark plugs, wires, and drive belt. Then the van was driven for a few days to confirm that it was as good as it seemed. The second round of service included new front brakes - rotors & pads, and 5 new LT rated tires. With this done, the van ran and drove great. The original paint was ok, but the van really needed to look fresher so it has received an all over paint job and some new trim. We finished it off by totally renewing the driver seat, replacing the stereo and adding rubber floor mats and some Hella 500 fog lights. The headlights are new too.) The end result is a Vanagon that is good looking, useful and fun.

Being a west coast van, it is very solid with no rust issues. The paint was 100% original when we got the van, so beyond a few dents & dings there was no evidence of any accident damage or body repairs. The interior is not all original. The carpet in the cab had been changed already and was low quality, so we replaced it with good tan carpet from another van, then added rubber mats from GoWesty. The driver seat was worn and torn so it has been replaced and recovered in new tan vinyl. It looks good and is very comfortable. The radio was an '80's tape deck that actually worked but modern CD stereos are not expensive so we replaced it. We added the cupholder for both convenience and to cover up the hole where the CB radio mike was located. In the back, the middle seat has been removed and plywood covered in tan carpet put in its place. This must have been done not long before the van was donated as it is clean and looks ok. For the buyer who really wants a middle seat, no problem we have several extras. The previous owner has installed an extra light above the sliding door. It's a Hella light, very bright and actually very useful - probably installed for camping.

We have put some miles on this van. It never fails to start and drives nicely. The lack of a/c and a middle seat make it extremely spacious in the back and ideal for carrying a variety of large items.

1. NC residents

In addition to the sale price, North Carolina residents are also responsible for: NC Highway Use Tax which is 3% of the vehicle's sale price; License and title fee of $73.00; Auto Focus documentation fee of $169.  NC residents must have a valid NC drivers license and must have at least liability insurance coverage on the purchased vehicle before it can leave the Auto Focus lot. Auto Focus will complete all title work for NC residents.

2.Out of state buyers

All buyers who take personal delivery, and drive their vehicle from the Auto Focus lot must have at least liability coverage insurance on the vehicle purachased as this is a requirement in NC. The title and registration process and associated costs will be the responsibility of the buyer. We provide airport pick up from GSO at no charge.

3. Deposit and final payment

A deposit of $500 is required within 24 hours of sale. Payment in full is required before a sold vehicle can be released. Vehicles can be paid for in cash, by certified funds, by personal check, once cleared, and by loan check. Auto Focus must be notified within 36 hours of sale as to how the vehicle will be paid for. An important note about the deposit: We try very hard to accurately represent our vehicles. If you are the winning bidder, or agree to purchase a vehicle and are dissatisfied with the condition of the vehicle once you arrive, we will return your deposit. If you simply change your mind, or fail to even come look at the vehicle you have agreed to buy, your  $500 deposit will not be refunded.

4. Shipping

Shipping cost and arrangements are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Warranty

All vehicles sold by Auto Focus have been inspected and serviced by Foreign Accents, a Bosch Service Center in Greensboro, NC. All vehicles have a current NC inspection unless otherwise noted.

Vehicles sold by Auto Focus are sold AS-IS with no warranty unless there is factory warranty coverage remaining.
