Up for sale is my personal 2005 Cadillac STS.  I have owned this car since the January 2010 and have driven it every day to work.  I have performed necessary maintenance and it is in good condition.

It has 97,794 miles on it as of today, and I will probably drive it a little more until it is sold.  It has been garage kept, and has been washed frequently throughout both winter and summer.  I know of no known issues other than what I have listed above regarding the paint issues (I included pictures).  It is not perfect but excellent for the age.

It has:

The large V8 Northstar - plenty of power
Cool Xenon headlights
Navigation

Adaptive Cruise Control & Heads Up Display
Satellite radio
Heated and cooled front seats
all the gadgets, all electronic
4 floor mats all in good shape
Rear seats are heated
Separate climate control for rear passengers with air and heat
Driver and passenger separate temperature control
Electronic telescoping and tilt wheel
Push Button Start
Electric Sunroof (multi-position)

Those are some of the things everybody asks for.  I really don't know of any extra it doesn't have.

I have both key fobs for it,(pictures shown). This car is fun to drive and has great performance for a five passenger sedan.

Being sold as is with no warranty.  It needs to be picked up.

I have the title, and it is clear and no liens.

I require $ 1000 deposit via paypal upon close of auction with balance paid within 7 days.  I prefer a cash, or cashiers check for the balance and do not want paypal for the balance.

This is a great car and I have a more than reasonable reserve on it.

Cadillac Elmiraj Concept slinks in Leno's Garage

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Jay Leno's Garage has moved to Pebble Beach for the week. This time around, the affable comedian is taking a look at the Cadillac Elmiraj Concept that debuted during the Monterey car week, and is talking to General Motors vice president of global design, Ed Welburn.
There's plenty of reminiscing about what concept cars were like when these two were kids, before a fairly deep dive into the striking Elmiraj Concept itself. Welburn shares a few anecdotes about the design process behind the two-door concept, including how his designers changed his mind on the grille design.
After bringing up the Cimarron, Leno makes a solid point that the Elmiraj would be a solid production car that could even spawn a four-door variant. We couldn't agree more. Take a look below for the full video from Jay Leno's Garage.

Cadillac's Euro reboot may have implications for US models, sales

Fri, 11 Apr 2014

Firmly on the comeback trail in the US, Cadillac is still trying to get out of the starting blocks in Europe. At the Geneva Motor Show in March, Cadillac' senior execs revealed plans to grow the brand's presence in a luxury market dominated by the big three German marques, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
GM President Dan Ammann says he sees "enormous" potential for Cadillac globally.
Over the past 20 years, the General Motors premium nameplate has tried and failed multiple times to break into the European market. This time around, Cadillac recognizes that progress will be modest at best, and depends on specific changes to models, some of which may impact the brand's US lineup. Planned new sales tactics in Europe may also impact the way Cadillac does business on this side of the pond.

Cadillac moving to NY as separate business unit

Tue, 23 Sep 2014

Cadillac is under new leadership, and the automaker is committed to turning itself (back) into a global luxury powerhouse. It's got a strong product offensive (of products currently in showrooms, and much more on the way), and now it will have a new location to call home.
Following earlier speculation, GM has confirmed that it is moving Cadillac's base of operations from Detroit to New York. Lest you think it might rent offices in the Chrysler Building (which is, after all, one of the tallest in the city), the new Cadillac global headquarters will be located in the Soho area with a "multipurpose brand and event space in conjunction with modern loft offices." The company is still evaluating which staff will move along with it to Manhattan, and which will remain in Michigan where technical operations will still be based.
The move from Detroit to New York is the first major change being instituted by new Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen, who previously undertook a similar shift in moving Infiniti away from Nissan headquarters to its own facility in Hong Kong. Ford had attempted a similar move in relocating its luxury portfolio under the Premier Automotive Group (which then included Lincoln, Mercury, Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Volvo) from Dearborn to Irvine, CA, but ended up moving Lincoln (the last one still under the Ford umbrella) back to Michigan. Other luxury automakers like Audi (Volkswagen) and Maserati (Fiat) are headquartered away from their parent companies as well, but have a longer history of independent operation.
