2010 Cadillac Srx Luxury Sport Utility 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Laurie, Missouri, United States
THIS IS A GREAT VEHICLE. EXCELLENT SHAPE. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD. I PUT NEW COOPER TIRES ON IT LAST JULY. THEY HAVE MAYBE 5,500 MILES ON THEM. A COUPLE ROCK CHIPS HERE AND THERE, BUT NOTHING WORTH WORRYING ABOUT.... THAT'S JUST THE NATURE OF DRIVING. THE LEATHER IS IN GREAT SHAPE. NO SMELLS OR UNWANTED AROMAS. NEVER SMOKED IN. IT HAS WEATHER TECH FLOOR MATS THROUGHOUT. FRONT, MIDDLE AND REAR... THE REASON I'M SELLING IS ... I BOUGHT A CAMP TRAILER AND IT IS A LITTLE MUCH FOR THE CADILLAC. IT TOWES THE TRAILER, BUT TO ME, IT SEEMED LIKE IT WAS STRUGGLING A LITTLE TOO MUCH. IT WILL TOW 2000 LBS. SAFELY, BUT THE CAMPER WEIGHS CLOSER TO 3,000 LBS. LOVE THE CADDY, BUT I NEED A TRUCK. I'M A MOTIVATED SELLER AND WILL ENTERTAIN ALL REASONABLE OFFERS. THE RESERVE IS SET LOW, SO... IT GOES TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER. IT DOES HAVE THE REMAINDER OF THE FACTORY POWERTRAIN AND ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE WARRANTIES. I THINK THEY ARE 5 YEARS/100,000 MILES. SO.... YOU HAVE 12-13 MONTHS AND OVER 60,000 MILES REMAINING. P.S. I JUST BOUGHT THE CAMPER LAST WEEK, SO, I HAVEN'T TOWED IT MUCH. IT'S PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY WAITING FOR A TRUCK. AS YOU CAN SEE THE WEATHER AROUND HERE ISN'T CONDUSIVE TO CAMPING ANYWAY. |

Mystery shoppers love Infiniti, hate Tesla
Tue, Jul 12 2016Infiniti, followed by Lexus tied with Mercedes-Benz took the top two spots for best sales experience according to mystery shoppers from the latest Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, while EV manufacturer Tesla recorded the lowest overall score. Not surprisingly, premium brands dominated the top ranks. Including the three already mentioned, luxury brands occupied seven of the top ten spots and included Audi, BMW, Porsche, and the only American brand to crack the upper echelon, Cadillac. Toyota, Volkswagen, and Nissan rounded out the first ten positions. The news for domestic automakers isn't good. Aside from Caddy, the only other star-spangled automaker to score above the industry average is Chrysler. The rest of FCA, most of GM, and all of Ford fell below the line. But Pied Piper's mystery shoppers handed Tesla the biggest walloping – the company is ten full points below the next lowest brand, Volvo, and its score of 86 is 17 below the average of 103. It's baffling, considering the company's touted direct-sales model. "Tesla leaves me scratching my head," Fred O'Hagan, Pied Piper's president and CEO, told Wards Auto. "They own all of their stores, so you would think each one would be doing the same thing. But they're not. Tesla is consistent in its inconsistencies." O'Hagan added that there's a "huge variation" in Tesla's store-to-store effectiveness, and that in some cases, shoppers found showroom workers that acted more like "museum curators," Wards Auto reports. It might be popular to call Tesla the Apple of the car world, but based on Pied Piper's work, the brand has a long way to go to emulate the uniform shopping experience of an Apple Store. The news might be bad for Tesla, but even for the brands that scored below average, there's cause for celebration. Only Tesla and Mini lost points in this year's rankings, and only Mercedes and Lincoln held steady. Every other brand, including Infiniti, which topped the index for the first time, gained at least one point. The biggest improvements belong to Porsche, Land Rover, and Mitsubishi, which all jumped five points. Pied Piper's annual Prospect Satisfaction Index uses mystery shoppers – over 6,100 this year – from across the country to assess dealers and generate rankings from over 50 individual factors. Cadillac abandons plans for six-digit flagship sedan
Mon, 01 Jul 2013So much for that party. Cadillac has announced that it is walking away from plans to build a high-dollar, rear-wheel-drive ultraluxury sedan. The low-volume model would have been based on the lusty Ciel Concept, and the production iteration would have carried a price tag well over $100,000. Executives with the automaker reportedly claim the model wouldn't have bolstered the brand enough to be worth the investment.
Even so, Automotive News reports Cadillac is still on track to build a range-topping four-door to go head-to-head with the BMW 7 Series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class. That model will likely be constructed on the company's upcoming Omega rear-wheel-drive platform, but we won't see it bow until at least 2016. Right now, the front-wheel-drive XTS sits at the top of the Cadillac lineup, and while that machine and it's twin-turbocharged V6 variant makes a compelling argument against certain luxury entries, it falls short serving as a legitimate competitor for the likes of the 7 Series and S-Class for enthusiast drivers.
Carpool Deville aims to be the world's fastest hot tub
Wed, 16 Jul 2014The world needs crazy inventors with wild dreams. While we might not long for the things that they create, their contraptions certainly make the day a little more enjoyable. Take the Carpool Deville as an example. Nobody (well, almost nobody) is asking for a hot tub fashioned from a 1969 Cadillac that is still drivable. But now that you know that such a beast exists, don't try to tell us you aren't at least intrigued.
The team behind the six-year-long project has a pretty ingenious setup worked out. The Caddy's original 472-cubic-inch (7.7-liter) V8 both provides propulsion and heats the water. The interior is entirely replaced with a watertight, fiberglass tub that includes working jets, and the controls are all done by hand.
As if just building a mobile hot tub isn't enough, the team behind the Carpool Deville plans to take it racing too. Specifically, they intend to go to the Bonneville Salt Flats later this year to make a top speed run while immersed in water at over 100 degrees. They even have a roll cage all set to install to meet the safety requirements there.
