1985 Cadillac Bustle Back Seville No Reserve Auction on 2040-cars
Chalfont, Pennsylvania, United States
This is a NO Reserve Auction, dont't miss your opportunity to own a great car with lots of potential.Classic Bustle Back Cadillac Seville. Cadillac was taking chances in the 1980s switching to front-wheel-drive
adding technology like fuel injection and of
course creating cars like this stunning 1985 Seville. The design didn't
catch on with everyone for those few who appreciate the design it's the
epitome of 1980s elegance and style. The influence of Rolls-Royce
styling is undeniable and the clipped trunk recalls the designs of
Hooper in the 1950s when it was called razor-edge styling. The Seville's
broad front end and spacious greenhouse actually works better than most
of the frumpy Rolls-Royce designs. This is an excellent survivor with great body lines and the stainless trim that
stretches the length of the body and further emphasizes the trunk. And no car from the early '80s is complete without a lot of
chrome including heavy bumpers. The blue cloth interior is
simply spectacular in a 1980s kind of way. This is what luxury looked
and felt like 30 years ago and to be honest it's pretty cool. Tufted seats lots of stretch-out room deep pile carpets
and enough sound-deadening for a radio station mean that it's as
comfortable and hushed as an English gentlemen's club. Everything was standard
equipment on Cadillac's top-of-the-line machine including power windows
locks and seats automatic climate control a tilt column and cruise
control. And lest you think that
abbreviated trunk profile hampers cargo space guess again because
somehow the trunk is quite cavernous. Cadillac's 4.1-liter V8 engine is
smooth and torquey if not a tire-shredding monster. It moves the
front-wheel-drive Seville with ease and goes about its business
unobtrusively and actually pulls down .decent fuel economy. The front-wheel-drive system has proven itself over the decades
and the traction offered by the system will impress you should the
weather turn nasty. The all-independent suspension rides well there's a disc
brake at each corner this car
is still an awesome highway cruiser for road trips. Handsome Chrome Wire Wheels are a nice touch. Not
a lot of these have survived so if
you're one of those guys who loved the look perhaps this is your chance
to own a car with great potential. The drivetrain is in very good condition, it has been well maintained over the years. I have owned this car for over 10 years.

Why the 2015 Detroit Auto Show will be the best since The Crisis
Tue, Dec 30 2014The Detroit Auto Show clearly has its swagger back, and the 2015 edition will be a veritable feast for the enthusiast senses. We're talking serious performance, and it will be exhibited in a variety of forms. Sports cars. Supercars. Muscle-bound luxury cars. They're all set for splashy debuts in January in the Motor City. It's another signpost that companies have recovered from the global economic crisis that gripped the industry from 2008-09. For a while, automakers played it safe at Detroit and other shows. Environmentally friendly cars were important, especially for General Motors and Chrysler that were living on loans from Uncle Sam. Ford, Toyota and other companies generally focused on their best-selling or core models. With a few notable exceptions, recent auto shows have been a bit more buttoned-down than in the past. Boring probably isn't the right word, but austerity has been reality. That's changing. Car companies are making money. Sales are up. Aside from the many nagging recalls – and they are notable – the industry now has the time and energy to make performance cars a priority. That will be offered in hard evidence in Detroit. A year from now when we look back at this auto show, we'll sum it up with one word: Horsepower. But make no mistake, this isn't frivolous. Sports and luxury cars are expensive. They're profitable. They boost images and highlight strengths. With that in mind, here are five significant performance-oriented reveals to watch for when the show kicks off in less than two weeks. 2016 Acura NSX Acura's reborn NSX is a strong bet to earn plenty of votes for our Editors' Choice awards. It's one of the most anticipated – and strung-out – reveals of the year. Think back: we actually saw an NSX concept at the 2012 Detroit show, and Acura has spent the last three years teasing the car in a variety of ways. The slow burn, however, means we know a lot about the NSX. It's will use a mid-mounted twin-turbo hybrid powertrain and run with all-wheel drive. It will also wear an innovative zirconium e-coat paint, a new paint process that Honda says is more environmentally friendly. Honda has also said it will build the new NSX in Ohio, where a large part of the car's development work has been done. The original NSX was produced from 1990-2005 and helped establish Acura's performance credentials in the United States. It was a landmark car and a shot across the bow of Ferrari, Lamborghini and others.
This dream home theater and office happens to be in a Cadillac Escalade [w/video]
Fri, Dec 19 2014Need to take a ride cross country in the lap of luxury while still getting some work done? Short of a tour bus, the Concept One Curve from Lexani Motorcars might be one of the most comfy options imaginable. Lexani is usually known for creating opulent armored vehicles, but for the Concept One Curve it focuses on converting a 2015 Cadillac Escalade into a place for work or play. The company strips out the standard passenger compartment to install a higher ceiling with LED lighting, two leather-upholstered power captain's chairs and jump seats. However, the real highlight is a 48-inch curved 4K television mounted against the driver's partition. Don't worry about missing your favorite shows because there's a TracVision Satellite, too. The driver gets a re-covered seat of their own up front. If business needs to get done, the vehicle also includes a Mac Mini computer, tables stowed in the seats and connections for video conferencing. Of course, if you're riding in something this lavish, security might be a concern too. In addition to the window shades, the Concept One Curve features cameras to know what's going on outside. A touchscreen management system lets occupants control the whole setup from the luxurious chairs. Lexani claims that if all of this somehow isn't enough for a buyer, it offers even more options to fit their needs. Scroll down to watch a video tour and read more about this rolling home theater. {C} Lexani Concept One Curve Lexani Motorcars, a boutique luxury conversion company receiving vast international praise, has produced the Concept One Curve - the world's first 2015 Escalade with a built-in 48" 4K Technology Curved Smart TV. Lexani Motorcars is constantly pushing the boundaries of possibility for luxury transportation in everyday vehicles. The Curve is a revisited version of their latest model, the Concept One, with a television upgrade and electronic rear curtains; it is unmatched in its ability to be a premier theater one minute and a five-star mobile office the next. The curved smart TV-which rests on a proprietary electronic partition-is indeed impressive, but it is just one of the numerous amenities this discreet masterpiece boasts.
Cadillac issues stop sale on ATS to recall 82k units
Wed, Jul 29 2015Cadillac is issuing a recall on 82,620 examples of the 2013-2016 ATS worldwide to fix a compliance issue with the sunroof controls. Until a service bulletin goes out to take care of things, there's also a stop sale on the luxury compact in the United States, The Detroit News reports. Of the affected models, 63,665 are in the US, according to a statement sent to Autoblog, and 7,922 of them are in Canada. The problem is actually the same issue as a recall on nearly 59,000 examples of the 2013-2015 ATS in the US in February. In them, the controls for the tilt and slide of the roof aren't recessed enough to meet government standards for the force necessary to operate the buttons. The Feds believe that someone could accidentally activate the auto-close and potentially be at risk. At the time, Cadillac dealers installed a new trim plate to add the needed clearance. In the latest update, the company is adding the 2016 model year, and according to The Detroit News, 70 percent of the cars from the original campaign also need another new trim plate. Unsurprisingly for such a minor defect, there are no known crashes, injuries, fatalities, or customer complaints related to this issue, according to the announcement by General Motors. Cadillac ATS Statement: General Motors is recalling 63,665 Cadillac ATS sedans in the United States from the 2013-2016 model years because the power-operated roof panel systems on these vehicles will auto-close when the non-recessed portion of the "Slide" or "Tilt" switches are pressed and the roof panel is open. Because these switches are not fully recessed, they can be actuated with less force than required to comply with applicable federal standards. GM knows of no crashes, injuries or fatalities related to this issue and has received no customer complaints. The total population of the recall including Canada, Mexico and exports is 82,620.
