This Seville runs and drives excellent, & it should because I've replaced almost everything possible !!!  A few weeks back it gave me some trouble performance wise unfortunately everything was replaced before we replaced the computer which solved the problem, so I spent a great deal of money for no reason.    But atleast its all done & has some new parts anyway .

New items done MARCH 2013 @ 42,800 miles include ac delco fuel pump & strainer, 2 New ac delco Fuel injectors, 8 New spark plugs , 8 wires , New cap & rotor, A few new sensors, the New computer, 2 New Belts, New Alternator, New battery, 2 New hood shocks to hold the hood up, 2 New trunk shocks to hold the trunk lid up,

Items replaced DECEMBER 2012 @ 42,700 miles
Headliner Recovered, sun visors & rear sail panels.

Items replaced @ 36,436 miles New Water pump, New Radiator, Four New white wall tires,  rear shocks

It had a muffler put on a few years ago but will need pipes soon probably, it not loud, just getting to the point of needing a exhaust system eventually.

YES it Needs a paint job, Although garage kept its entire life the paint used in 1980 was just not up to standards if you drive this car through an automated car wash you'll most likely take the rest of the paint off the car, every time I wash it,more paint comes off.

Original owners manual and General Motors 1980 Cadillac shop manual included. As well as original cadillac keys & tag.

It starts great, runs perfect, drives terrific, and stops correctly. The heat works the air conditioning was ice cold until an air condition line was cracked when changing the belts, Otherwise it would work perfectly, The power antenna works the radio works although the display does not always show correctly, The mpg display is currently not light up, the power trunk release & pull down work perfectly, the power windows work, although the left rear is off track I have new track / band included. Power door locks work, cruise control works, wipers work, horn blows, tilt & telescopic steering Colum. Power seats work correctly, the seats are valoure and are perfect as close to mint condition, the dash is perfect no cracks, all exterior emblems are excellent & colorful not faded.
I have it tagged as an antique here in pa. & I have been driving it atleast 2x a week within the last few months.

I have a complete list of items / repair history from September 2004 to present.....

YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR HOME !!! I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM GETTING IN,TAPPING THE KEY, AND DRIVING IT ACROSS COUNTRY !!! THANK YOU ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK. I PLANNED ON RESTORING THE CAR BUT NEED THE FUNDS CURRENTLY MORE THAN THE VEHICLE.

Ford C-Max spot aimed squarely at Cadillac ELR 'Poolside' hubris [UPDATE]

Thu, Mar 27 2014

If we had tried to predict the first video response to the controversial Poolside video for the Cadillac ELR, we would not have thought it would center on compost. But, hey, it's always nice to be reminded that the real world is sometimes better than fiction. Instead of the chic swagger of 'Poolside,' 'Anything Is Possible' is all about getting dirty. The new short in question is called Upside: Anything Is Possible and it promotes two things: Detroit Dirt and the Ford C-Max Energi. As in the ELR ad, Ford's plug-in C-Max only makes an appearance at the tail end of the spot, but instead of the chic swagger of Poolside, Anything Is Possible is all about getting dirty. The ad stars Pashon Murray, co-founder of Detroit Dirt, which takes natural waste from around Detroit, composts it into soil and then spreads that around "forgotten parcels" of Detroit to create urban farms. Detroit Dirt gets its bio-waste from a lot of sources, including the Detroit Zoological Society (all that herbivore manure has to go somewhere), Ford and General Motors, but this particular ad was the idea of Ford's PR agency, Team Detroit. It was a frenetic shoot, filmed with an LA-based director right after a big winter storm blew through Detroit, and Murray couldn't be happier with the result. "This was Ford Motor Company pushing my story, letting me tell the story that I believe in," Murray tells AutoblogGreen. "I get to help push this car and I get to tell my story." She says that the Team Detroit and Ford had to agree on the message, "from my understanding, [YouTube] is where they wanted to start, not where they wanted to finish." The ad is already getting a positive response on Twitter, so we won't be surprised if it shows up in more places soon. "It's not saying Ford is better than GM. It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." As Detroit Dirt has off-screen support from both GM and Ford, it's unsurprising to hear Murray say that the video "is not a rivalry thing." She notes that the ad agency Team Detroit came to her and offered to tell the Detroit Dirt story using the framework of the GM ad. "It's a parody on this commercial, but it's not saying Ford is better than GM," she said. "It's telling the story of a black woman who's working hard in Detroit." What is that story? It's about urban farming, recovery and recycling. Murray tells us that for the last seven or eight years, she's been dedicated to sustainability.

Cadillac planning its own engines, halo cars

Tue, 30 Sep 2014

Cadillac is in the midst of some big changes. It's got a new chief executive. It's taking some distance from parent company General Motors and moving to a new headquarters in New York. And it's instituting a new naming scheme that will allow not only for a more clear progression in its lineup, but also for more models. But that's not the end of the story. Not by a long shot.
Speaking with Automobile magazine, Cadillac's new president Johan de Nysschen revealed his intention to develop several new models and powertrains. For starters, he does not want Cadillac to continue borrowing engines from the GM parts bin, but intends to develop a new range of engines specifically for the luxury automaker. The program will likely start with smaller-capacity engines but eventually lead to new V8s as well, taking the place of the long-serving Northstar engine that finally ended its lifespan a few years ago after some two decades of production. Along with other technologies, de Nysschen envisions possibly sharing these powertrains with other GM divisions, but developing them first and foremost for Cadillac.
The bigger question, however, is where those engines would go, and de Nysschen had some thoughts to share on that front as well. For starters, the former Infiniti and Audi exec sees room for an even bigger sedan above the upcoming new CT6 that will cap the current range. Maybe even two of them. But that's not all. Johan wants to see Cadillac get (back) into the sports car game with a new halo model or two - something it hasn't really done since the Corvette-based XLR roadster. A pair of new crossovers are also said to be in the works, flanking the SRX on both sides with smaller and larger models.

Cadillac launching crossover-heavy product offensive

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Utilizing information provided by Cadillac suppliers, Reuters says that Cadillac is preparing two more crossovers that will bow after its current product initiative is complete. According to the report, a year after the next SRX arrives in 2016, a pair of CUVs will be unveiled that will bracket it in size, and they'll be headed for the US and Chinese markets.
That is years away, though. For now, the company's attentions are on the nearly here CTS and ELR range-extended coupe, the next Escalade SUV (shown above), an ATS coupe, and the range-topper that will sit above the XTS. That, and possibly an even more impressive range-topper that promises to be the mean and majestic super-luxe unicorn Cadillac we've been dreaming about for more than a decade now.
In response to the issue of how German crossovers might be having an impact on Cadillac's future plans, a company source said - rightly, we think - "we don't need to duplicate the Germans." That doesn't mean, however, that it can't wade deeper into a market segment that the Germans are making a ton of money in. In fact, and since everyone is doing it, we'd be surprised if Cadillac didn't, even if it won't happen for another four years.
