1979 Cadillac Seville Classic Cruiser Hot Rod Rat Rod Survivor on 2040-cars
Erie, Pennsylvania, United States
1979 CADILLAC SEVILLE. 92000 MILES. Runs & drives good. All equipment intact except troublesome fuel injection. Has been converted to Edelbrock carburetor. Needs A/C serviced and cruise control hooked up, other minor repairs. Factory CB radio/stereo turns on, no sound. Overall a nice car. Interior is way above average for the year. New tires on GM truck rally wheels. Includes very rare, OEM factory Cadillac true wire wheels. They are fair condition but complete. New battery. New fuel pump. Has Summit Racing Nova/Camaro dual exhaust from the down tube back. Sounds cool. Not to loud. No catalytic converter. Clear PA antique title in my name. Antique PA plate is transferable to PA. buyer. Body is excellent with no rot and minimal surface rust. Most of the paint is original. I think it is a special model with the two tone paint and it used to have that goofy fake spare (long gone) on the trunk lid. You decide. Fun driver. I'd keep her but I need cash for new roof. Easy restoration. AS-IS. E-mail any questions. Cash or KNOWN bank check only. $500 Paypal deposit due in 3 business days. Payment in full in 10 days. All payments must clear before release. I can store inside for a few weeks. Buyer arranges transportation. I can help load here. Fly in, drive home. I reserve the right to end auction early for any reason. Car for sale locally. I won't play games with you, please don't play games with me. Thanx. Jim

Is Lincoln MKC cutting into Cadillac SRX sales?
Tue, 07 Oct 2014The two big American luxury brands of Cadillac and Lincoln are on surprisingly similar paths at the moment with both divisions hoping to redefine themselves and grow popularity. They're still early in the process with no clear winner yet, but things might actually be looking up for Lincoln's latest model, according to a monthly sales analysis from The Motley Fool. It seems, at least early on, that the new MKC crossover might be taking a bite out of the Cadillac SRX's growth.
The MKC launched just a few months ago and has been getting a big marketing push from a series of oft-mocked ads starring the smooth-talking Matthew McConaughey. The luxury CUV has been the popular, new kid on the block with growing sales since its introduction. While smaller than the SRX, the Lincoln starts at a lower price and offers better fuel economy.
Through June, the SRX performed well with sales up over 20 percent on average through June, according to The Motley Fool. However, July and August saw things plummet with year-over-year drops of 7 percent and 37 percent, respectively. It still far outsold the MKC in terms of actual units in a given month, but the Caddy's continued growth has appeared to stagnate.
2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe
Thu, 30 Oct 2014Cadillac has become a very, very different company since the dawn of the new millenium. Its turn-of-the-century lineup, consisting of staid offerings like the Seville, DeVille and Eldorado, represented the Old Cadillac. These cars were plagued with Old GM quality issues and catered to a more elderly audience. Since the company's Art and Science design language arrived, though, we've seen Cadillac flesh out its lineup in a big way, introducing notable and (so far) enduring products, like the the CTS, SRX and most recently, the ATS.
With the CTS tackling the 5 Series segment and the SRX duking it out with the Lexus RX and its classmates, the ATS has been left with the tough task of battling the BMW 3 Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, among others. Critically, at least, it has excelled in this role, but it's still working on finding its feet sales-wise. On paper, broadening the model range by adding a two-door personal luxury coupe could help.
After a week with the ATS Coupe, though, we've found a car that, while retaining the standard model's excellent driving character, doesn't quite offer enough visual excitement to stand up to other cars in its segment.
Cadillac reveals stretched ATS-L in China
Tue, 29 Jul 2014In the market for a new Cadillac, but need more space than an ATS can afford? Then you'll want to look at the larger CTS. Unless you live in China, where buyers - often chauffeured instead of driving themselves - seem to prefer a long-wheelbase version of a smaller sedan than upgrading to a larger one. For those buyers, Cadillac has released the new ATS-L.
Based on the existing ATS sports sedan, the ATS-L offers an extra 3.3 inches of rear legroom over the model we get here. As a result, the ATS-L stretches its wheelbase to 112.5 inches and its overall length to 186 inches, while riding a quarter-inch lower than the standard-wheelbase model, which itself was recently updated. That places its length in between the regular ATS and the CTS available Stateside.
Otherwise it's essentially the same sedan, but appears to ditch the base 2.0-liter four to offer either the 2.0-liter turbo four or 3.6-liter V6. Of course this model, produced locally for the Chinese market, isn't likely to make the transpacific voyage to US showrooms, so American buyers will still have to choose between the standard ATS, the larger CTS or the even larger XTS.
