If you're looking at this listing, I probably shouldn't have to ramble on about all the details for I'm sure you're already aware. The condition and pedigree is what's important to the collector/enthusiast like you so here we go. The car was a one owner vehicle up until last year when a gentleman purchased it from the estate of the late original owner and transferred it over to me. In order to do so legally, the gentleman had to register it in his name before the title could be sent to me so technically I'm the third owner but for all intents and purposes, the second.

Since I purchased the car last September, I spent quite a bit of time and money making it into the fully detailed jewel you see before you. I completely went over the car and purchased five (spare tire as well) original chrome Cadillac "lace" wheels and five brand new white wall Bridgestone tires. It had five aluminum "lace" wheels when I purchased it but I think the chrome wheels really take it up a notch and replaced them ALL. The trip to Brogan Cadillac last month included the necessary wheel alignment, coolant flush, power steering fluid flush, brake fluid flush, throttle body cleaning and replacement of the (IAC) idle air speed control sensor which all totaled $1,300.

I replaced both rear window plastic channel guides, which commonly crack over time, with new ones so that all windows function properly. At the same time, I purchased 6 additional plastic guides to have on hand when needed for the front windows (included). I forgot to picture that I also have a "NOS" (new old stock) third spare keyless entry remote as well as a NOS set of uncut Cadillac gold keys (ignition-vats#2 and door) just to have on hand...they aren't making this stuff anymore folks.

I have clean and clear NJ title in-hand and ALL the original content of the white "gift box" with black ribbon that Cadillac gave it's customers which included the VHS tape, grill emblem, owner's manual, etc., as well as the original window sticker. (pictured) Even have the original bill of sale!

Please carefully look over the 200+ pictures and video (sorry for the wind noise) of this vehicle although I must say that the images you see, as nice as they are, don't do the car justice in terms of color, glisten and presence.

For all you true collectors and enthusiasts out there...this ultra clean and cared for Fleetwood Brougham is truly a once in a lifetime find!

1 owner for the past 17 years!

Happy Bidding and bid with complete confidence!

Come out and see it for your self, no surprises!

Export, OK!

2016 Cadillac ELR gets more power, $9,000 price drop

Wed, Apr 15 2015

Cadillac has announced a series of updates to the ELR for 2016 that promises to make the plug-in hybrid luxury coupe a more desirable proposition. Perhaps chief among them is a price drop of $9,005 compared to the slow-selling 2014 model. The news follows an announcement yesterday that the Chevy Spark would get a $1,500 price drop. Cadillac is quoting a net price for the updated ELR at $58,495, which is obviously substantially less than the $75k it was asking for the previous version. But it's important to note that the new price is listed after US federal tax credits. The 2014 model came in at $67,500 after the full $7,500 tax credit, so math tells us that Cadillac has slashed the price on the 2016 ELR rather dramatically by about nine grand with a new MSRP of $65,995. One big upgrade on the performance front is a 25-percent boost in output from the hybrid powertrain that marries a pair of electric motors to a 1.4-liter inline-four gasoline-burning generator. The increase is said to be enough to drop 1.5 seconds off the 0-60 time, now quoted at 6.4 seconds. It'll travel for up to 39 miles on electric mode alone, but with the generator spooled up will go up to 330 miles before needing to stop. The engine management software has also been updated and the regenerative braking system reconfigured as well, but GM's luxury division didn't stop at the powertrain, fitting the 2016 ELR with a raft of other enhancements. Visually there's a new grille with the marque's latest emblem embedded. The suspension has been stiffened, the steering recalibrated and the brakes optimized for better feel. Cadillac is also throwing in the previously optional Driver Assistance package of active safety systems as standard, with adaptive cruise control available as an option. And the infotainment system comes with OnStar, 4G LTE connectivity and on-board Wi-Fi. There's even a Performance Package available with 20-inch performance tires offering 10-percent better lateral grip, four-piston Brembo brake calipers up front to help reducing stopping distances by 12 percent, recalibrated dampers and steering and a thicker-rimmed steering wheel. Because of the higher rolling resistance tires, however, the Performance Package kills four miles off of the electric driving range.

Your guide to vehicle subscription services

Mon, Oct 1 2018

They might be extremely limited in scope because of location availability, but vehicle subscription services are a growing trend that most luxury manufacturers are jumping on. Plans are expensive, but you're paying for much more than just the car typically. We highlighted four of the larger plans with a few more listed at the end. Care by Volvo Volvo launched its subscription service last year with its brand-new XC40. It was the only vehicle available for a time, but subscribers can now get an S60 sedan as well. Subscriptions are for two years, with the monthly price including insurance, a concierge service, wear-and-tear item replacements and all maintenance. You'll be able to drive 15,000 miles per year with whichever Volvo you choose, and although there are no options to extend that mileage, you can swap cars after a year. Pricing for the XC40 is $650 per month in base trim, while an S60 can be as expensive as $850 for the R-Design. Volvo's plan is to offer more cars soon through the service, but it's relatively limited compared to others right now. Porsche Passport Porsche has two levels in its subscription service: Launch and Accelerate. Launch will cost $2,000 per month and give you access to the Cayman, Boxster, Macan and Cayenne. All of those but the Cayenne can be had in "S" trim as well. Accelerate is where the fun really starts. For $3,000 per month you can choose from a fleet of 911s, including the S, 4S, Cabriolet and Cabriolet S. If those aren't enough, you can also get the Panamera 4S, Macan GTS and Cayenne S. There are no mileage limits and you can change vehicles as often as you'd like. Also included in the price is insurance, repairs, detailing and any maintenance. It might be extremely expensive and limited to Atlanta only, but this subscription service is second-to-none for what you get. Audi Select Audi just launched its subscription car service, and it's offered in one version for a flat fee of $1,395 per month. For that you'll have access to five different cars including the A4, S5 Coupe, A5 Cabriolet, Q5, and Q7. Not a bad range of vehicles, but it would've been neat to see the recently updated A7 in there too. Maybe in time. Like the others, insurance and maintenance are wrapped up in the price. Audi is allowing for unlimited miles and two car swaps per month here. In addition to that, you'll get two days of free rentals through Audi's Silvercar rental agency should you go on a trip.

Cadillac to recall 20,000 SRX models over wheels that could fall off

Thu, 23 May 2013

A potential issue with the lug nuts on 19,871 units of the 2013 Cadillac SRX in the US and Canada has lead to a recall of the luxury crossover. Those lug nuts that have a Teflon topcoat, identified by their bluish tint, could loosen and cause "creaking, rattling or grinding noises or steering vibrations." In the worst case scenario, a wheel could fall off, but there have been no reports of that happening, nor any reports of accidents or injuries due to the issue.
This is the second recall action on the SRX over the last few months. In March, Cadillac recalled 27,000 SRX models over a transmission programming issue. General Motors will begin notifying customers with the potentially faulty parts on June 3, at which time they can take their vehicles to dealers to have the tires rotated and new nuts installed. A further 7,397 SRXs exported from North America also face the recall action.
