AS YOU CAN SEE THIS CADI NEEDS TO BE RESTORED. A COMPLETE RESTORATION WAS DONE ON IT SEVERAL YEARS AGO. I HAVE ALL OF THE PAPER WORK/RECEIPTS TO SHOW WHAT WAS DONE. ALL OF THE CHROME AND INTERIOR WERE SAFELY KEPT IN STORAGE AFTER BEING RESTORED. AFTER IT WAS PAINTED, WHILE STILL AT THE PAINT SHOP, IT FELL VICTIM TO THE FLOODING OF HURRICANE KATRINA. TWO DAYS LATER, AFTER THE WATER SUBSIDED, THE ENGINE WAS PICKLED. YES, THERE IS SOME WORK HERE TO HAVE IT RESTORED AGAIN BUT MUCH OF THE WORK IS ALREADY DONE. THE CADILLAC FLEETWOOD LIMO WAS PRODUCED IN VERY LIMITED QUANTITY IN 1939. THERE ARE VERY FEW OF THEM STILL REMAINING TO BE OWNED BY A COLLECTOR. THERE IS A LOT OF VALUE HERE IN PREVIOUSLY RESTORED PARTS, CHROME, INTERIOR, BODY WORK ETC... THE FLARE OF THIS CAR AND THE SUICIDE DOORS ARE A COLLECTOR'S DREAM. TO THE RIGHT PERSON, THIS CAR IS A STEAL FOR THE ASKING PRICE. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY, PLEASE. THE VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN GRETNA, LOUISIANA.

Season 9 of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee teases us with BMWs and Volvos
Thu, Dec 22 2016Jerry Seinfeld's successful online show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is heading into its ninth season, returning January 5th. It should be no surprise that the list of actors and comedians is impressive, with Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz, and more making appearances. Seinfeld has lined up an equally impressive list of cars for the new season. Porsche, BMW, and Volvo all have beautiful machines lined up to shuttle Seinfeld and his guest to different coffee shops. As always, it's a mix of light humor packed into a relatively short and, most importantly, free video. Catch up on the previous eight seasons now on Crackle. GM's Mark Reuss explains why a performance Cadillac ELR-V won't happen
Tue, Mar 18 2014Hey, I've got enough things to worry about. That's one interpretation of General Motors executive vice president Mark Reuss' response to a question posed by Driving the Nation about the recently-introduced Cadillac ELR plug-in hybrid. Reuss said GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR. The question was whether GM would consider adding magnetic ride control to the quite-powerful-for-a-plug-in Caddy, creating an "ELR-V" model in the process. Reuss' non-answer: "Good question, can't really answer that," but then elaborated that magnetic ride control uses up "a lot" of power otherwise spoken for in terms of providing the longest electric-only range possible. Interestingly, he did add that GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR, as you can see in the video below. With the model retailing for north of $75,000, fewer than 60 percent of US Cadillac dealers were carrying the ELR as of last month and just 99 ELRs were sold during the first two months of the year. In an effort to sell more vehicles, GM said in January that it would offer the ELR for a 39-month lease for $699 a month for qualified lessees and with a $5,999 down-payment required. Autoblog's First Drive impressions of the ELR can be found here.
GM will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales
Tue, Apr 3 2018DETROIT — General Motors said on Tuesday it will stop reporting monthly U.S. vehicle sales, saying the 30-day snapshot does not accurately reflect the market, and will instead issue quarterly sales. GM will also no longer report monthly sales in China, its largest market, and Brazil. GM will provide monthly data to the U.S. Federal Reserve, industry associations and government agencies across the globe, but that data is not made public. Analysts and investors rely on monthly U.S. vehicle sales not just to track the performance of individual automakers, but as a barometer of the health of the world's second-largest auto market and as an indicator of consumer confidence in the U.S. economy overall. GM and its Detroit rivals Ford and Fiat Chrysler have relied heavily on sales of high-margin pickup truck and SUV sales to boost profits. GM's total U.S. sales, its second-largest market, are down 3.2 percent for the first two months of 2018, reflecting a 6.8 percent drop in retail sales to individual customers, the company reported last month. GM executives have expressed frustration that comparisons of monthly U.S. sales results among rival automakers are distorted by short-term discount programs, and by differences in strategy for selling vehicles in bulk to rental car fleets. "Thirty days is not enough time to separate real sales trends from short-term fluctuations in a very dynamic, highly competitive market," Kurt McNeil, U.S. vice president for sales operations said in a statement. GM's actions could prompt other automakers to also switch to quarterly U.S. sales reports. Major automakers will report March U.S. new vehicle sales on Tuesday. Until the early 1990s, most U.S. automakers released sales results every 10 days. The former Chrysler Corp. stopped reporting sales on a 10-day basis in 1990, and rivals followed suit over the next three years. GM executives are betting that investors will quickly adapt to receiving U.S. sales data every three months, as investors in other retail sectors already have. Retailers such as Walmart report sales on a quarterly basis. Reporting by Joe WhiteRelated Video: Image Credit: Reuters Earnings/Financials Green Buick Cadillac Chevrolet GM GMC US
