NO RESERVE NO EXTRA FEES AUCTION! In 2007 my Mother purchased the car from a funeral home with only 67k miles from the original owner. She enjoyed the car and is no longer driving. She sold me the car and over the winter 2014 I spent over 275 hours and $3800 in parts (wholesale) building a super reliable, dependable Fleetwood. I also wanted the sharpest Fleetwood in town! The car was not a wreck. I have a Dealership since early 2000's and full shop so I was able to restore it over the winter this year and it was a long adventure. The list I long but if you truly want a one of a kind deal read on. The 260 HP LT1 Corvette motor with 340 torque is running like a top! New drums, shoes, hoses, hardware, emergency brake cables, brake lines and shocks were installed. I went with air shocks in the rear end with the fill behind the rear license plate. That way the rear height is adjustable if I like it to be. All original air lines and pump are still intact. Then new front rotors, bearings, ceramic pads, brake hoses and brake lines. Then new front shocks, and stabilizer links with polyester bushings. Then I changed the Air conditioning compressor with a factory Delco one, receiver dryer, all seals and had it professionally charged. Opti-spark distributor, spark plug wires and spark plugs are new along with a new water pump, tensioner pulley and belt. The car doesn't leak a drop. The power steering pump was redone then I put in both new lines and a new power steering pressure valve. The starter was redone and the car has remote start and keyless entry. The radiator was flushed and new fluid was installed. I found the larger white wall tires that are speed rated 235/75/15 100s tires so they are tough and will last a long time. They set the car off! The factory chrome wheels were prepared for hours to prevent any leaks once the new tires were installed. Cadillac emblems are seen on the valve stems. I changed every brake line in the car to the copper nickel metal line to ensure they will never have issues again. When the lines were made they were ALL put back into the factory mounts on the body as they were from the factory. The exhaust manifold gaskets were changed (no broken bolts on this car) and the original bolts were upgraded to the harder 8.8 hardness so if these ever need to be done again there will be no broken bolts. I changed the mufflers and all of the clamps and mounts on the exhaust. I sent in the front bumper top to have it professionally redone since it is common to fade as it did. I purchased brand new rear quarter panel chrome spears and they look great! No stinky cigarette or pet smells present. These are a beautiful car with all of the chrome that you just don't see anymore on modern cars. The chrome is stunning on this car. It was a pampered car all of it's life. It is a sleeper that will perform if needed with that Corvette motor. I have enjoyed driving the car and know you will enjoy it as well. The bottom was coated with bed-liner to protect it since from the factory they are not undercoated. The oil, filter, air filter, gas filter, and gear oil and seals are all new. New wiper blades and I even changed all of the bulbs on the car. The radio works and the power antenna work. The power mirrors, locks, trunk release, trunk pull down, seats, heated seats, lumbar are working. Even the cruise control works. The cam positioning sensor is new. I converted the 2:92 rear end to a RPO GU6 3:42 rear end and springs from a 44k mile Fleetwood (tow package) then changed the seals and fluid .The speedometer is off a bit since the new gears are a different ratio and that also triggers the traction control light and the check engine light. The ECM can be re-flashed to accept the new size rear end gears I'm told. I will include the rear axle gears that were original and in great shape if you prefer to have the car back to original. The power is great and the fuel mileage is super. It's the perfect mix of luxury, power, economy, and grace!! The car has never towed but is now ready to. The transmission was serviced and has a new filter , gasket then the pan was freshened up. The transmission shifted like a new car before and after the service. The vinyl top is in new condition. The trim around the bottom of the top is redone and new clips were installed. No leaks in the trunk from this area since I sealed it properly. The paint on the car dazzles! I have 2 door dings. Both are on the rear doors. This one has the solar protection windshield that keeps the sun heat out. I have no cracks on my dash. The seats are comfortable. The carpets are pretty clean. Non smoker and pets car. I am selling some of my personal collection and that is the only reason I would ever consider selling this car. If you paid me $50.00 an hour, the labor for 275 hours is $13,750. Plus $3,800 in parts!! It was done for pride and I realize you will be getting the advantage. I have put 2000 miles on the car since it's restoration and it's GREAT! I always get the nicest comments but best of all it is like new mechanically. No extra fees in my auction so enjoy and I look forward to a fun transaction. Title is clean. The car was filmed on June 17, 2014 and will be parked until so it's exactly as you see it. I can provide pictures of the restoration on a flash drive to the new buyer if you like. Uship is a great place to get a shipping quote from Victor, NY 14564. International buyers welcome but make sure you check the cost to import to make sure it's worth it for you. Please schedule to bid and win! No reserve!! It's only worth what a buyer will pay. Thank you !!! photo DSC09297_zpsab4449e5.jpg photo DSC09298_zps00f01b27.jpg photo DSC09299_zps5829e26e.jpg photo DSC09300_zps66fc9d37.jpg photo DSC09301_zps8f500ea2.jpg photo DSC09302_zps901f0878.jpg photo DSC09303_zps03483154.jpg photo DSC09304_zps51677cc0.jpg photo DSC09305_zps6fe18f63.jpg photo DSC09306_zps7c447e11.jpg photo DSC09307_zps0091e92d.jpg photo DSC09308_zps3065edfc.jpg photo DSC09309_zpsec8f24b2.jpg photo DSC09310_zps7989806c.jpg photo DSC09311_zpsffe55481.jpg photo DSC09312_zpsf65c44da.jpg photo DSC09313_zps093a3d22.jpg photo DSC09314_zpsbba5125a.jpg photo DSC09315_zps0c4e2a4d.jpg photo DSC09316_zpsec900059.jpg photo DSC09317_zpsff96470a.jpg photo DSC09318_zps320b3b77.jpg photo DSC09319_zps6c4d54e4.jpg photo DSC09320_zps8cafb8e9.jpg photo DSC09321_zps97212a0e.jpg photo DSC09322_zps377f7371.jpg photo DSC09323_zpsc361304e.jpg photo DSC09324_zpsdd9abbda.jpg photo DSC09325_zps19b10ff2.jpg photo DSC09326_zpsc86155d0.jpg photo DSC09327_zps1501c1da.jpg photo DSC09328_zps644ab40f.jpg photo DSC09329_zps05621009.jpg photo DSC09330_zps1c556c79.jpg photo DSC09331_zps44986439.jpg photo DSC09332_zps644cf766.jpg photo DSC09333_zps72ea7f70.jpg photo DSC09334_zps57b1fb76.jpg photo DSC09335_zpsd5e96c50.jpg photo DSC09336_zps6d378c70.jpg photo DSC09337_zps61364e07.jpg photo DSC09338_zps89265700.jpg photo DSC09339_zps08515cf0.jpg photo DSC09340_zpsf8344594.jpg photo DSC09342_zps23614ebb.jpg photo DSC09344_zps6b5ed56c.jpg photo DSC09345_zps062d4379.jpg photo DSC09346_zps2b738690.jpg photo DSC09347_zps7c8c7480.jpg photo DSC09348_zpse7509b81.jpg photo DSC09349_zps1e20ddd2.jpg photo DSC09350_zpsc8dbcbc7.jpg photo DSC09352_zpsb30a99fc.jpg photo DSC09353_zps20ce0a75.jpg photo DSC09355_zpse0e94cfc.jpg photo DSC09296_zps4b4000b8.jpg photo DSC09356_zps35642fc6.jpg photo DSC09357_zpsf2636fe9.jpg photo DSC09377_zps27857d6a.jpg

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures

Tue, Jun 23 2020

It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski  Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

Cadillac mulling CTS Coupe successor after all

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

The 2014 Cadillac CTS made a big splash last week at the New York Auto Show, but now that we've seen the sedan, we can start to wonder about whether coupe and wagon versions are in the cards. According to Edmunds, Cadillac is at least considering bringing back the CTS Coupe for a second generation, which seems like an even better chance since the brand's global marketing director, Jim Vurpillat, was quoted as saying that the car was the top-selling luxury coupe in the industry.
Of course, this goes against reports we heard last year that Caddy's coupe and wagon would live on just not under the CTS name, but the interview with Vurpillat has us hopeful for a next-generation CTS Coupe. If it does come to fruition, we would expect the new two-door to have a largely unique exterior design like the current CTS Coupe, to echo that of intended rivals like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe and even the high-dollar BMW 6 Series.

2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

2012 is almost in the books and automakers are spending December gearing up for the 2013 auto show season, which tips off next month at the Detroit Auto Show. Traditionally, the latter opens up with the announcement of the North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards, and this year figures to be no different.
But up until this moment, we didn't know which six vehicles would be parked ahead of the stage as finalists, with executives and engineers waiting for the winners to be disclosed. Whittled down from October's "short list" of nominees (11 cars and 10 truck/utility vehicles), the finalists are as follows:
2013 North American Car of the Year:
