1991 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'elegance. 5.7l 26,836 Miles. No Reserve on 2040-cars
Birmingham, Alabama, United States
NO RESERVE! This time capsule Brougham d'elegance was one owner until this past fall. Somewhat of a barn find. Rarely driven, this Cadillac has many more miles left in her. The leather is perfect. The paint is in excellent shape. The only known paint work was by the previous elderly owner who replaced the filler panels. The carpets are not worn. No scratches. No dents. The car is powerful and is a great driver. I have owned several of these cars and all options work. The climate controls heat and cools as it should. The cruise works as does the Twilight Sentinel and automatic dimming mirror. The rare SECURITY SYSTEM is found on this car. The only deficiency is the rear speakers do not play. I have not taken the time to investigate. The antenna works and was replaced by the previous owner at the dealership. All windows, locks, and mechanism perform as expected. No sagging headliner here. Vanity mirrors work. Locks actuate as designed. Take note, this car does have the genuine wire wheels, a rare option for these. The tarnished gold jewelry was replaced with NOS items so no faded emblems here! This is a no reserve auction. I have found another car that I want. There is a rule here: One in means one out. I am more than happy to help arrange shipping and meet transport services. However, shipping is the expense of the buyer. |

2015 Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra recalled for steering issues
Thu, Sep 13 2018DETROIT — General Motors Co is recalling more than 1 million pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles in the United States due to issues with a temporary loss of power steering, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said. The recall is for 2015 models. They are: the Chevy Silverado 1500, Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, Yukon and Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade. The problem may cause difficulty steering the vehicle, especially at low speeds, increasing the risk of a crash, the auto safety regulator said in a document dated Sept. 12. The document did not highlight any reports of accidents and injuries, because of the power steering issue. GM dealers will update the power steering module software, free of charge for owners of the affected vehicles. In 2014, the No.1 U.S. automaker had recalled nearly 800,000 pickup trucks worldwide because of the same problem. GM did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Related Video:
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
