1989 Cadillac Fleetwood Base Sedan 4-door 4.5l on 2040-cars
Palm Coast, Florida, United States
I have for sale a Beautiful 1989 Cadillac Deville Fleetwood Edition. This car is in Fantastic condition. It runs and drives GREAT! It was owned and driven by an elderly couple from NJ who drove it to their condo in Florida each winter and back in the spring. It spent winters in Florida since new. Miles are mostly highway miles from these trips. It has recently had a lot of maintenance. New a/c, new struts, new rear brakes, new front end parts and more. It rides and drives very tight. The engine idles smoothly, has plenty of power and burns no oil. It recently made the trip from NJ to Palm Coast with no problems at all. The interior is near perfect other than the headliner. It sags. The only other problem with the car is the stereo only works on the two left speakers. Otherwise, windows, locks, cruise control, power mirrors, power seats, power antenna, self dimming rear view mirror, trunk release and fuel door release buttons, built in garage door opener, digital dash and probably something else I'm forgetting all work flawlessly. The body and paint are VERY nice. The vinyl top is like new. You will have a very hard time finding a cleaner car of this vintage. If you have questions please call for the fastest response. My name is Gene 904-347-1257. If you are interested in this car and would like to make a SERIOUS cash offer please call me, I am willing to negotiate within reason. No low ballers please. This is not a junk. Thank you for your interest. I will be happy to assist with shipping of this vehicle at the buyers expense. |

Liberace's gilded Cadillac could be yours
Tue, 27 Aug 2013With their chrome grilles and oversized wheels, it's hard not to notice a Cadillac these days. But this one is even more blingtastic on account of the 23.75-karat gold-leaf bodywork.
The 1931 Cadillac Golfer's Drop Head Coupé is said to have belonged to the inimitable performer Liberace, who didn't just have it covered in gold - he also had the exterior door handles plated in silver and the inside handles in 24-karat gold as well. It's also got a white leather interior and headlights that - well ahead of their time (if you'll pardon us, Mr. Tucker) - pivot with the steering wheel. All that bling is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission that pales in comparison to the seven, eight and even nine-speed gearboxes appearing on luxury sedans today.
The project was undertaken over the course of three years in the 1970s by one Jack Smith from Kansas. Smith (if that was his real name) sold it at auction in 1975, and it was most recently displayed for 12 years at a museum in Germany which claimed it was Liberace's own. The car is now going up for sale by Barons' at the Sandown Park horse racing track in Surrey, England, on September 17, when bidding starts at 85,000 pounds - equivalent to over $130,000 at today's rates.
Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
2015 Cadillac Escalade blings its way into LA
Thu, 21 Nov 2013The new Cadillac Escalade sauntered out onto the Los Angeles Auto Show stage, showing off its new familial face and redesigned interior. That exterior, with its slim, wrap-over headlights and tall, vertical taillights (both made up of LEDs) is a subtle but significant departure from the past styling of General Motors' flagship SUV.
And while there's no shortage of stuff to discuss about the Caddy's exterior, its cabin is where the big changes happen. Aside from the column-mounted shifter, the cabin receives a heavy going-over, receiving Cadillac's new CUE infotainment system and a significant upgrade to the materials. Comparing it to furniture, Eric Clough, Cadillac's director of design for interiors, said, "An exceptional level of craftsmanship has gone into the redesign of the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, and it all centers on the premium materials and extensive use of cut-and-sew live stitching."
Under hood sits a 420-horsepower, 460-pound-foot, 6.2-liter V8. Fitted with direct injection and active fuel management, fuel economy for the big Escalade should get a much-needed boost beyond the current model's 14-city and 18-highway miles per gallon, although official numbers haven't been published quite yet. A six-speed automatic is the sole gearbox choice. Cadillac has also fitted the new Escalade with GM's magnetic ride control system, which should deliver a more refined ride than its predecessor.
