I purchased this Cadillac myself in 1987 at the Cadillac Motor Comany in Monroe, N.C.. I am the only one who has driven it. It has been in the garage every day and night. It is a wonderful car still. The only reason I am thinking of selling it is because I just don't need two cars for just me. I am 68 now and I wanted a new car so it will most likely be my last one if it does as well as the Cadillac. The condition of this car is just impeccable. There is nothing wrong with the carpet. A good cleaning might be in order. The paint outside is still good. I didn't see any dents or dings. It came from a smoke free person. It has the automatic steering, stero, cassette player, vents for air, heat gauge, and radio. It has the cigeratte connection and a dash both made in a shining wood grain The wood grain is perfect and so is the dash.. It has a windshild to clean the window of snow, rear lights, side lights, and a pull for the hood under the steering wheel. It has front and back seat belts that are still working well. I don't think the back seat was ever used much. It has Michelin Radial Tires on it and has always had a set on it. It has a glitch in the check engine light. I have had various mechanics to check it and they all said it was a glitch in the light itself and not in the engine. I have driven it for years with that light on. The engine is sound and no other problems are found. I've kept it up to date yearly on all checkups.

The person purchasing this car will have to send payment first. Once I have the payment he can ship it anyway he wants to and be responsible for the shipping cost.I will transfer the title to his address and send to his address. If they have any questions, please feel free to ask. I have had emails saying this was a scam. Well, come and see for yourself. It is not a scam but looks like the pictures I listed. I can understand why one might think it is a scam for the milage is so low. You are welcome to come and see it for yourself. I really doesn't matter if I sell it or not because it is a wonderful second car. I'm just giving people a chance to have a great car.

Cadillac chief says ATS convertible, wagon on the table

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

What we do know is that the ATS will wear at least one more bodystyle. That comes from Cadillac head Bob Ferguson, who answered "Absolutely" when Automotive News asked him about the possibility of another variant. What we don't know is what that bodystyle or styles will be.
We now have a sedan and coupe ATS, there's supposedly a V sedan coming. After that, a convertible is a likely option given that the man who just became the global product honcho at General Motors, Mark Reuss, admitted to having one already designed in 2012. The decision on it can't get out of the underworld and a wagon is the other option, but the droptop would seem to make the most sense if one considers the competitive set: the BMW 4 Series and Audi A5 convertibles are hot property and Mercedes is bringing a C-Class convertible. Meanwhile wagons are the sentimental utility vehicles that, refusing to die, seem forever destined for life support... CTS Sport Wagon, anyone?
Based on Ferguson's statements, it appears that what Cadillac definitely won't do is play model variant catch-up with the European luxury brands it has spent years hunting down, telling Automotive News, "We want to keep our focus on a limited number of vehicles and do them very well."

GM extending warranties on Cadillac CTS-V and Chevy Camaro ZL1 for supercharger issue

Wed, 04 Jun 2014

Okay General Motors, we've sat by and watched you recall the compact cars, crossovers and pickup trucks, and aside from reporting on it, we've been fairly quiet. This, though, this will not do. We can almost tolerate the recalls on the bread-and-butter cars, but leave the performance vehicles alone.
According to a report from The Car Connection, GM has discovered a problem with the superchargers of the 6.2-liter V8s found in the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 and the Cadillac CTS-V. Apparently, the issue rests around the internal bearing shaft grease, which can become contaminated (we aren't sure with what). If left unchecked, it'll first lead to a rattle at idle, which goes away under slight throttle. The real warning stage is when a high-pitched squeal develops, signaling that the bearing shaft has failed. Naturally, severe engine damage is the next step (although it's possible that the engine will also just refuse to turnover, although neither case is desirable).
According to TCC, GM will replace the superchargers on vehicles that have exhibited symptoms of bearing shaft failure free of charge. It will also, allegedly, be extending the warranty on all supercharged ZL1s and CTS-Vs to 10 years or 120,000 miles (whichever comes first), from the date of purchase. Officially, only 2009 to 2013 CTS-Vs and 2012 to 2013 ZL1s are suffering from this issue.

Cadillac launching crossover-heavy product offensive

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Utilizing information provided by Cadillac suppliers, Reuters says that Cadillac is preparing two more crossovers that will bow after its current product initiative is complete. According to the report, a year after the next SRX arrives in 2016, a pair of CUVs will be unveiled that will bracket it in size, and they'll be headed for the US and Chinese markets.
That is years away, though. For now, the company's attentions are on the nearly here CTS and ELR range-extended coupe, the next Escalade SUV (shown above), an ATS coupe, and the range-topper that will sit above the XTS. That, and possibly an even more impressive range-topper that promises to be the mean and majestic super-luxe unicorn Cadillac we've been dreaming about for more than a decade now.
In response to the issue of how German crossovers might be having an impact on Cadillac's future plans, a company source said - rightly, we think - "we don't need to duplicate the Germans." That doesn't mean, however, that it can't wade deeper into a market segment that the Germans are making a ton of money in. In fact, and since everyone is doing it, we'd be surprised if Cadillac didn't, even if it won't happen for another four years.
