1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Sedan 4-door 5.0l on 2040-cars
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is my 1986 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham with only 104K miles. That is less than 4K a year. Mechanically this Caddy starts right up and drives smooth like a Caddy should. There are no known mechanical issues with this car. Tranny shifts as it should. No noises, no leaks. The exterior of this Caddy is in excellent condition. Not perfect but real nice for an 28 year old. No rust, paint is very good, some small imperfections on close inspection. Chrome is also in very good condition, The roof looks perfect. I am sure you can find some imperfections, but I couldn't see any. Still shines, clean. For a white roof to look this good this Fleetwood had to stored inside all of its life. Some of the fillers will need replaced as you can see in the pictures. The main front and back fillers are in great condition. The small pieces behind the front bumper and the piece under the license plate should be replaced. The glass is all good. Wire wheels look real good, tires still have a lot of tread left. The interior is in very good condition. Look at the pictures. The back seats are in excellent condition. The front seats have no rips or tears. A little wear is showing. Dash has one crack, but overall very nice. The headliner is real nice. The door panels look great. The bells and whistles are all there but will need some attention. I have not tried to diagnose anything. Could be as simple as fuses. The power seat isn't working, power locks are not working, power antenna is not working. It manually will go up and most of the way down. The power windows all seem to be working great. I did have someone look at the AC real quick. It sounds like the compressor is good but the blower motor will need attention. I bought this Caddy in this exact condition last summer. I planned on getting all the little things fixed, but still cruised in it as is. My daughter is getting married later this year and I have to pay for that some how. Unfortunately that means selling off some of my small collection. I will be offering for sale my 1985 Eldo convertible, my 1976 Eldo convertible and my 84 Riv. within the next month. I bought this car from a Cadillac dealer in WV. They claimed they knew the old owner and it was in for service on a regular basis. I never got it PA titled. I have the clear WV title signed and ready to transfer to the next owner. You will not be disappointed with this Caddy. Not perfect but can get real close to perfect with a little TLC. Once again it is a 28 year old car. Sold AS-IS. Please come by and check it out if you are local. The pictures and description are very honest and clear. Please don't bid unless you intend to buy. If you are the winning bidder and come to see it and it is not as described then no obligation to buy. Email with any questions. I am selling it locally also, on Craigslist and elsewhere. I do have a reserve and do not have a buy it now. I will consider offers. Thanks for your consideration.

Cadillac tipped to call flagship something other than LTS
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without large sedans in its lineup, and while the XTS has had to hold down that end of the fort all on its own, it won't have to for too long. That's because the luxury brand in the General Motors portfolio is preparing to roll out its new LTS, stylistically previewed by the Elmiraj concept pictured above. Only now, the latest thinking is that the upcoming flagship model may not be called LTS at all.
As Automotive News points out, Cadillac's naming scheme is all over the place at the moment. The ATS slotting below the CTS makes sense (alphabetically), but where do the ELR, SRX and especially the Escalade fit into that naming hierarchy? And how would LTS - as the project has been known until now - sit above the XTS?
Fortunately, Cadillac may be on the case, as two of the division's most recent senior appointments seem keen to rationalize the naming scheme. One is Uwe Ellinghaus, who joined Cadillac as chief marketing officer late last year. Speaking of the brand's nomenclature last spring, Ellinghaus was quoted as saying, "We are aware that this is currently a weakness of the Cadillac brand." And his new boss is bound to agree.
J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners
Mon, 14 Apr 2014Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.
2016 Cadillac CTS-V prepares to kick ass, take names
Tue, Jan 13 2015Some stories write themselves. This post on the North American International Auto Show debut of the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V is one of them. This 200-mile-per-hour sedan pilfers the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 from the Chevy Corvette Z06, and puts it to the same tire-devastating effect, offering up 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic – please join us in a moment of silence for the dearly departed manual CTS-V – then dispatches the force-induced thrust to a very large, sticky set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. To ensure the CTS-V can tear your face off with lateral Gs as well as accelerative Gs, Cadillac stiffened the car's structure by 25 percent, fitted magnetic ride control and fitted the aforementioned tires. Beyond the mechanicals, a substantial rear spoiler, front splitter and diffuser improve grip through aerodynamics. Keeping drivers pinned during all this tire shredding and face tearing is the task of meaty, two-piece Recaro sport seats, which are found in a luxuriously appointed cabin, complete with 4G LTE connectivity, a Bose stereo and Siri Eyes Free. There's even a Performance Data Recorder, which will be on hand to record your miscues if (or perhaps when) the car's extreme abilities outpace your own talents. Take a look at our array of live images from the CTS-V's official debut at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show.
