1986 Fleetwood Brougham. Car is really straight, the paint is pretty good but has had paint work on portions of the car at different times, so there are some noticeable color matching issues. This car has had ALL of the bumper fillers replaced on it within the last year, so you won't have to worry about that issue for another 20+ years, or pay hundreds of dollars to replace them because they all crack on these cars eventually. The top has some splits in the vinyl, but there is no bulging anywhere that would indicate rust issues underneath whatsoever. This car seems to have spent almost all of its life parked inside a garage, there are no signs of sun-fading on the interior and even the window sweeps are crack free.
The interior is really nice. The carpet looks almost like new, the seats are in good shape and don't have any rips or cracks. The dash doesn't have a single crack anywhere. Both front arm rests have minor cracks, but the car will include a replacement arm rest for the passenger side. The headliner is pinned up into place. This car has the Delco/Bose stereo and it sounds surprisingly good. The climate control unit works great, the heat and defrost work good. The AC cycles, so it's probably low on refrigerant, and it uses R-12, so it would probably be wise to convert to 134-A instead of paying a fortune for R-12 to fix and fill it. Mechanically this car runs great and gets 23-24mpg on the highway. The engine doesn't smoke and runs smoothly and pulls cleanly. The transmission shifts and runs perfectly with no flaring shifts or problems. The front suspension and steering are really tight, all of the ball joints and steering components are free of slack. The shocks are noticeably worn, so it "floats" a little, but it tracks and drives really straight. The tires are around 50%, but are beginning to show some cracking from age. They are drivable, but showing their age. I have driven this car on a 400 mile round trip within the last year, so I wouldn't be worried to drive it anywhere. The odometer reads 4,xxx miles. My title says "Mileage Exempt" and the prior owner bought the car about 13 years ago, so I doubt there is any carfax information out there, but I haven't looked it up. If the odometer said this were a 60k mile car it would be easily believable. Overall this car is a really straight and original car that is reliable to drive. It would be a great car to restore because most of the expensive stuff is there and in good shape and it doesn't have rust issues. I am only selling it because I simply have too many projects right now. Thanks for looking! |

Prices for the Cadillac start at $38,990 (including the $995 destination fee) for the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 272 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, or $46,145 for the 321-hp, 275-lb-ft 3.6-liter V6. Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle
Sun, Aug 21 2022The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world. Cadillac won't replace XTS after 2019
Mon, Apr 6 2015Cadillac wouldn't be Cadillac without a large sedan, but the definition of just which model fits that bill changed last week. Before the New York Auto Show, that role fell to the XTS. After the New York Auto Show, though, the focus shifted to the CT6. So what's to become of the XTS now that the CT6 has emerged? According to the latest intel, it'll live out the rest of its lifecycle until around 2019, but then drive off to its own funeral like so many limousines and hearses that were built off its platform. This was learned based on comments made by Cadillac chief Johan de Nysschen at the closed-door unveiling of the CT6 in Manhattan: "Ultimately, a car like XTS when it reaches the end of its lifecycle, will not be replaced." That'll be bad news for the livery business that – in the post-Town Car era – has come to rely on the XTS as the basis for its stretch jobs. "We will not have a car that will lend itself to these kind of modifications and we will probably withdraw from those markets," de Nysschen told GM Inside News. That's not all the new Cadillac boss had to say, though: he also indicated that the replacements for the ATS and CTS will be positioned differently from the current models: "As we move into the future refining our sedan portfolio, there will be no direct successor to the CTS. There will be no direct successor to the ATS. There is no point to renaming those cars because in the future those cars will disappear." Based on Johan's comments and those we've heard until now, we'd expect the replacement for the ATS to move down a size to take on the likes of the Audi A3 and Mercedes CLA, and the CTS' successor to move down half a size class as well to give the new CT6 a bit more breathing room, and possibly an even larger flagship sedan to be positioned above them all.
