Up for sale is my 1969 Cadillac Eldorado. Very Reliable car. I have driven this car daily for 2 1/2 years without a problem.
There is no rust. The paint is 2 years old. I did not paint the jambs and trunk I intended on finishing that later but I am ready for a different toy. I am looking for a 96-2000 SL 500. The carbuerator is rebuilt. The heat riser is new as is the entire front end including axles. The Stereo has been replaced with Custom Audio receiver which fits right into the existing openning. The four new speakers went right into the existing locations. There is an amp a cd changer m3p hookup. Remote keyless entry with button to open the trunk. This cost over $2000.00 within the last year. It has 2 sets of rims and tires the rims shown and the original rims and hubcaps. (could use 1 new tire soon) New master cylinder, battery, heat riser belts hoses wires. This is the best riding classic car I have ever driven. The power and handling rival newer cars. It is a sleeper in the collector car market. Lined up next to the camaros vettes and 57 Chevy's it gets plenty of attention. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is due within 2 days of winning auction. GM considering new powertrain options for large SUVs
Tue, 15 Oct 2013Aside from the new General Motors offerings, there's not a whole lot of action going on in the fullsize SUV segment. That doesn't seem to be stopping GM from pushing the envelope in the market as Automotive News is reporting that the automaker is looking to introduce some new powertrain options into the Chevy Tahoe (and Suburban), GMC Yukon (and Yukon XL) and the Cadillac Escalade - all have been redesigned for the 2015 model year.
Now, we already know that GM and Ford are collaborating on nine- and ten-speed transmissions for a broad range of applications (including the big SUVs), but this new report says that GM is also considering other options as a way to one-up the competition and, of course, to optimize fuel economy. AN quotes Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer for GM trucks, as saying that "interesting powertrain technologies" are coming including a return of a hybrid SUV and possibly even a diesel engine. Although it sounds like the latter could come down to how customers respond to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel.
Cadillac Escalade gets $5,000 discount to ward off Lincoln Navigator
Wed, Nov 8 2017General Motors apparently isn't going to let early good reception for the redesigned Lincoln Navigator steal thunder from its own luxury SUV without a fight. It's offering a $5,000 discount on the purchase or lease of the Cadillac Escalade this month to any buyer who trades in a 1999 or newer Lincoln model, Bloomberg reports. GM spokesman Jim Cain told Bloomberg the incentive is being offered to keep prices competitive for the Escalade. The 2018 Navigator starts at $72,055, compared to $73,995 for the Escalade, but the outgoing version of the Navigator is selling for an average of around $53,000, compared with more than $80,000 on average for the Escalade, he said. The Escalade was the top-selling domestic luxury SUV in October and No. 4 in the segment, according to Motor Intelligence. It far outsold the Navigator, which last saw a refresh in 2015 and a full redesign in 2007. But Ford is hoping to gain back some ground with the new Navigator and updated Expedition, which also trails the Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevy Suburban in its segment. Bloomberg notes that one Morgan Stanley analyst estimates that GM owns a $2 billion annual pretax profit edge in the lucrative luxury sport utility segment.
