This fine automobile was purchased by the third owner in 1983 from a local Ford dealer with 111,XXX miles and only 1500 miles were added during his ownership. The car is original except for one repaint way back when. The car is 99% rust free with the only bad spot on the lower right fender. The trunk and floors are in very good condition. The body has a few scratches and scrapes but it has never had any accident damage and the body is super straight and the doors close with that solid feel that a car of this quality should have.

The only thing that has been done since our purchase is we have installed new plug and wires, fuel filter and rubber gas lines and vavle cover gasket. The car runs and drives and the transmission shifts fine. It doesnt overheat and runs pretty decent on the old gas that was in the tank. The exhaust is original and will need replaced and the brakes will need some work. The car has power everything and most of it is in working order. The carb will need rebuilt as well. The fuel bleeds off overnight and it will have to be primed to start. The car also has its orignial belts and hoses and clamps still in place.

The leather interior is in nice shape. The dash looks great and the pad is nice and soft and in excellent  condition. The headliner has a tear and stains on it and will need replaced and the door material on the left rear door has stains on it as well. The carpet is in nice condition and the car is equipped with seat blets also.

The windshield has cracks and needs replaced. Rest of the glass is in great condition. The chrome bumpers are in good shape for a car this  old and the stainless is almost perfect. All body gaps are good and as far we can tell the hood has never been off the car.

This is a fine automobile that requires  only minimal work and money to make a nice dependable driver. If you have any questions please feel free to call  573 366 0554 or 573 701 4709

This car if for sale locally and we reserve the right to end the auction early.

Cadillac could 'flourish' in Australia, says marketing chief

Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Cadillac might have its best product mix in recent history, and GM's luxury brand is looking to expand. In fact, it might even be making a trip Down Under, at least according to the company's global marketing chief.
Uwe Ellinghaus spoke with Australian site Car Advice at the Geneva Motor Show and said the brand could be quite successful there. "[The] goodwill that the Cadillac brand has is such a good starting base that once we get proper volume commitment and a dealer network behind it we can easily flourish," he said, though he warned that the plans are still in their earliest stages and years away. First, Cadillac will expand in markets with the highest possible sales, like China and Russia.
Ellinghaus said that the most likely models for Oz would be the SRX, Escalade and CTS; the latter would probably act as a replacement for the Holden Commodore. GM's Australian arm is ending local production in 2017, and there have been many rumors about what is happening to the big sedan. However, Ellinghaus admits exporting cars from the US to Australia is going to mean higher prices. In addition to the expense, Cadillac doesn't currently build any right-hand-drive models. It would likely take until the end of the decade before the Aussie models could be ready.

2015 Cadillac Escalade

Fri, 29 Aug 2014

I have never liked traveling to Monterey, CA. The picturesque coastal city is about 300 miles from my home in Los Angeles, which means cramped and uncomfortable regional aircraft are part of the equation when the turnaround is only one night. Over the years, I have cursed the LA Basin's bumper-to-bumper traffic en route to the airport, argued with TSA personnel over carry-on baggage and waited countless hours for the fog to lift just for the anguish of being packed into a small regional jet for the flight. Of course, the process repeats on the trip home with equal misery.
Yet this time I am not suffering.
Cadillac has dropped its all-new 2015 Escalade in my driveway. Instead of battling city congestion, attempting to reason with misinformed government agents, snacking on a too-small bag of pretzels and physically rubbing shoulders with a dubious stranger for 90-plus minutes within the confines of a bumpy aircraft, I have chosen to forgo air travel and drive myself door-to-door in a fullsize luxury sport utility vehicle.

Cadillac back on track with 600-hp ATS-V.R racer in FIA GT3 spec [w/video]

Fri, 14 Nov 2014

There was already a rumor brewing that Cadillac might eschew the CTS as its racecar next season in favor of the ATS Coupe. It turns out that is absolutely the case, and now we know just what this 600-horsepower, future racer looks like. The coupe might not be limited to competing in just the US, though, because it's built to FIA GT3-specifications, meaning that this Caddy is also eligible to race in over 30 series worldwide against the likes of Bentley, McLaren, Audi and other premium brands.
The heart of this massively winged Cadillac is an engine dubbed the LF4.R. It's based around the unit in the production ATS-V and CTS Vsport but with larger turbos, bigger intercoolers, side exhausts and other tricks. Cadillac claims it makes a monstrous 600 hp and 520 pound-feet of torque in unrestricted form.
As the photo above shows, the ATS-V.R also wears an aggressive aero kit with a carbon fiber front splitter, and a wing at the back that could probably double as a picnic table in a pinch. The dry weight of the whole package is quoted at about 2,900 pounds, which is around 700 pounds less than the street version.
