1947 Cadillac Fleetwood 500ci on 2040-cars
Rehoboth, Massachusetts, United States
Drives like a dream with timeless style. equipt with newly rebuilt 1971 500ci caddy engine (less than 1000mi), automatic trans, power steering, power brakes, and tilt/telescopic column. All new chrome(over $8000 invested), recent paint(5yrs), new rubber seals all around, new vinyl top, and new interior. New brakes, new wide whites(less than 100mi), and 1956 Eldorado wheelcovers. also has alpine stereo, and underseat heaters. This is a beatifull, fun, reliable car needing very little to be perfect. this car is missing: 1 rear vent window handle, spare wheel, 2 front parking lamp glass, 1 grille upper corner piece(3''long). This car has cracked drivers door glass, trunk lock cylinder needs adjustment, fuel gauge not working. Cadillac script fender emblems need re-chromed. This car has been restored and upgraded to keep up with todays driving, and would be perfect for someone who wants classic caddy style, with plenty of power and comfort. Chrome on this car is perfect, and with a buff job paint would look brand new. Clear Mass title. . |

2015 Cadillac Escalade
Mon, 07 Apr 2014Cadillac has been an interesting story in the auto industry over the past several years. Its comeback bid may be well over a decade old, but it's only recently that the Wreath and Crest has transformed from the auto industry's retirement home into its hot new thing. Today's Cadillac is a powerful marque working to instill passionate design, sound driving dynamics and cutting-edge technology into each model it builds, with vehicles like the ATS and redesigned CTS leading the charge.
Now, its latest model has arrived. This fourth-generation Escalade is among the most important new Cadillacs since the division's renaissance kicked into high gear. It's the brand's de facto flagship, and the first vehicle many young people think of when hearing the name "Cadillac." In the past, the Escalade was the chosen vehicle of the rich, flashy and famous. It's suffered over the past few years, though, particularly as new and more luxurious competitors have come to the fore.
With this latest redesign, General Motors is aiming to retake the spotlight as purveyors of the market's premier luxury SUV. To find out if it's been successful, I ventured down to the South Carolina Lowcountry to test the all-new 2015 Escalade.
GM outlines strategy for new products, growth in China
Wed, 01 Oct 2014
"Our strategic plan is a pathway to earn customers for life and create significant shareholder value in the process." - Mary Barra
General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.
2013 Cadillac ATS 3.6 AWD
Wed, 27 Feb 2013All-Wheel, All Right
There is no escaping the luxury all-wheel drive empire Audi has built for itself over the past 15 years. While nearly every high-end marque has at least one offering with power at all four corners, the hardware can't help but play second fiddle to Ingolstadt's Quattro kingdom. Leather-lined all-wheel drive is simply Audi the way minimum wage is an English degree. But General Motors seems hell-bent on raiding as many established fiefdoms as possible with the 2013 Cadillac ATS. Engineers and designers made no secret of the fact that the baby Cadillac was penned specifically to take on the BMW 3 Series, but Audi should be no less concerned about the newest luxury prince from Detroit.
GM has been stuffing all-wheel drive systems under their vehicles for years, but the effort hasn't come without nasty side effects. Unfortunate understeer, extra ride height, smallish wheels and porky curb weight meant opting for all-wheel drive was like signing your driving pleasure's death warrant. Would you like polished brass or brushed nickel hardware for your right foot's coffin, sir?
