i am not a dealer. traded my 1964 deville series 62 for this in 1999.

transport cost in mainland US max. $1000.00 is negotiable

HISTORY: this car was bought new in 1964 from salesman for cadillac dealership in south carolina. 2nd owner bought this in 1967 as his dream car and babied it from day 1.

He owned this car until the day he died in 1998. i bought this car from his son in 1999 after his estate was settled. i have titles to prove history.

His son took me to the mechanic that did the routine maintenance on car over many years, the car was put on lift and gone over. There was no issues at all.

I drove the car that summer day all the way to southern illinois without incident except had to change the 60's nylon tires someplace in Tennessee.

His son said this was his fathers pride and joy and was a weekend summer driver to the beach. Currently, i am unable to fully enjoy or give this car the attention

all antique wheels require. It is started monthly at this point and warehouse kept.

i believe there was less than 1300 of this made in 1964. i have yet to see another in ORIGINAL FACTORY TRIPLE BLACK ( ext, int, & top ) with bucket seats and console.

its most likely one of kind, and certainly unmatched in this condition and road worthy condition.

this car is meant to enjoy and drive, it's in the condition to do that safe and reliably.

i am happy to show this car so many can appreciate, but please realize that i can only entertain serious inquires only.

Cadillac CT6 to be lighter than CTS, get PHEV model

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Cadillac is suddenly one of the most talked about automakers in the US with Johan de Nysschen taking control. The brand claims that it eventually wants to become, once again, the standard of the world. One of the first vehicles to actually prove whether that's possible is its upcoming CT6 flagship sedan. We still don't know what the production version looks like undisguised, but other important details are falling into place. The latest big news sheds some light on the Caddy's powertrain and some estimates of its weight and size.
General Motors product chief Mark Reuss dropped the details at the automaker's Global Business Conference. According to The Detroit News, he revealed that the CT6 would use a twin-turbocharged, 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a plug-in hybrid would be an additional option. He reportedly claimed it would be the most "powerful six-cylinder gas engine in the segment" and said the hybrid could get around 70 miles per gallon.
Reuss also revealed that the CT6 would be about 53 pounds lighter than the current CTS, despite being about 8 inches longer, according to The Detroit News. If that's the case, the new flagship is about 203.5-inches long, which is 1.5-inches more than the XTS.

Gimp Pimp and Aqua Volvo at 24 Hours of LeMons | Car Club USA

Tue, Mar 22 2016

Car Club USA heads to Sonoma, CA where the Gimp Pimp Cadillac and Aqua Volvo will take on all the crazy, sub-$500 competition at the 24 Hours of LeMons endurance race. "Over the last 30 years, car racing has gotten extremely serious and extremely expensive and it just seemed like there was a real need to make it accessible again," said LeMons founder Jay Lamm. The result is a series of endurance races across the US and Australia where all you need to join the fun is a junky car and some basic safety equipment. "It's just fun, compared to pro racing," said Wendy Epstein, driver of a 1979 Volvo 242 in bright "Aqua Volvo" livery. "24 Hours of LeMons is a form of racing that is designed to be cheap and easy, and anybody can do it," said Bill Manfroy, driver of the Gimp Pimp, a 1996 Cadillac SLS with some important modifications. "Part of what makes the Gimp Pimp Cadillac so special is that it does have hand controls, so it gives access to people like me that ordinarily get to race." "Which makes it perfect for LeMons." Each Car Club USA episode features a different car club or event from across the US, where passionate owner communities gather to share automotive experiences and embark on incredible adventures. GM to build $1.3 billion Cadillac plant in China

Wed, 08 May 2013

General Motors has gotten approval to build a $1.3 billion manufacturing facility for its Cadillac brand in China. China's National Development and Reform Commission signed off on plans for GM to build the plant in the country's Shanghai's Jinqiao zone; construction is expected to begin in June of this year. According to a Bloomberg report, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 150,000 units.
No surprise here, but Cadillac would like to sell a lot more cars in the plush Chinese luxury market. The brand moved only 30,010 cars in China last year, compared with 400k for Audi, and about 330k for BMW. With Cadillac already telling us that it would be moving production of its XTS sedan to China - a production decision that saves having to pay 25-percent import tariffs - approval of the factory is a critical win for the company.
In fact, according to earlier comments by GM China president Bob Socia, it's at least conceivable that Chinese-built Cadillacs could be shipped back to the US for sale. The brave new world of globalization, getting stranger by the minute.
