We are the second owner of the vehicle, we purchased it in October 2003 when it had about 36,000 miles on it. It has always been in the desert southwest and has absolutely no rust. It has always been garaged since we have owned it. We put new tires on it in 2006 and they have very little wear and show no signs of aging. The interior is light tan, in perfect condition as are the floormats, the dash and the trunk. The vehicle has a twelve CD magazine in the trunk, a cassette player and AM/FM radio. Except for replacing the fog light bulbs, the windshield wipers blades, tires and battery all maintenance has been performed by a Cadillac dealer. Battery was replaced in December 2013. We are aging and the low seats are making it difficult to get out.

It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
Cadillac Elmiraj Concept brings big coupe style to Pebble Beach [w/videos]
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Two years ago, Cadillac absolutely floored us with the debut of its gorgeous Ciel concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. And since that droptop four-door's debut, we've seen plenty of its design language worked into the latest Cadillac products. Now, we're seriously hoping that history will repeat itself with this stunning new Elmiraj coupe concept, which makes its first public appearance in Monterey this week.
Cadillac states that the Elmiraj concept simply showcases the next step forward for the brand's Art & Science design DNA, and doesn't necessarily preview an upcoming model. But if you told us the Elmiraj was a conceptual look at the next-generation CTS Coupe, or a smaller, two-door version of a new flagship, we'd believe you. At 207 inches long, 76 inches wide and 55 inches tall, its dimensions are only slightly larger than the current two-door CTS.
Regardless of what the Elmiraj does or does not become, it's certainly a fantastic modern interpretation of the classic GT formula with its short front overhang, long hood, rakish roofline and petite rear deck. The strong character lines running along the sides and exaggerated 22-inch wheels round out the beautiful coupe, and Cadillac's signature vertical LED lighting elements are found at the front and rear. Also take note: the badge on the grille is a crest without a wreath, basically confirming our earlier report.
GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
