NICE COMFORTABLE,SAFE,DEPENDABLE EVERYDAY DRIVER OR CANDIDATE FOR EASY SHOWROOM RESTORATION.

Registered and used regularly..

-----------------Linus Cadillac/Buick of Vero Beach Florida installed a new factory engine in 2012 and about 20,000 miles ago.------------Warranty expired last year but documentation shows motor was replaced.

Still runs/drives  great.  Overall condition  should at least be considered good.  Gold Driftwood paint is still nice and shiny.  Only 1 or 2 very small scratches, tried to show in pics, but they are very unnoticeable. Some vinyl molding inserts are "wrinkly" and are easily replaced.   In pic #6 you can see two drops on the hood, that was sap that has since been cleaned.  Also the passenger side air bag cover has also been snapped back in place since the pics were taken.  Aluminum wheels will be cleaned before car is picked up.

NOTE- She's had her garage inspect the car from top to bottom and here is some suggestions they have--

Interior should  be considered at least good.  Leather still looks nice. Body should be considered "very good".  If restoration is being considered then replacing steering wheel cover and shifter cover could be bought new on e-Bay for around $125. One snap in rubber door moulding piece to be replaced, electric seat knobs glued back on, (seats work fine, just the plastic knob  pops off), insurance co. replaced nicked windshield but the original mirror was not used for some reason, but original is included if wanted, one vinyl insert is a little "bubbly" and could be replaced, just had a new starter motor installed and  it is not a factory original part but it still has a lifetime warranty, brakes recently replaced including new left rotor, right rotor should be "turned" or replaced at next brake job, spare "donut tire" is included but would recommend replacing it with a full size spare, driver side electric mirror is a little slow but works fine,  OVERALL CAR DRIVES NICE AND IS VERY SAFE AND SHOULD BE SERIOUSLY CONSIDERED FOR AN EVERYDAY DRIVER OR PERFECT FOR A BEAUTIFUL RESTORATION.  I have seen Eldorado's in much worse condition sell for $2500-$3500.

Still registered and can be safely driven anywhere. Please consider running a car fax, if anything important shows up please contact me, thank you.

NOTE- I WILL PUT A ''BUY-IT-NOW'' PRICE ON THIS FOR $1995.  IF INTERESTED CONTACT ME.  IF NOT IT WILL BE SOLD AT HIGHEST BID, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS.

It will also be listed locally so it may be ended if sold.

2016 Cadillac CTS-V First Drive [w/video]

Fri, Jul 31 2015

A million insects lost their lives today. Boxelder bugs and mayflies making the ultimate sacrifice in Elkhart Lake, their carapaces no buffer against a rocketing rectangle of safety glass. Their bodies gorily streaking into spangles along the diamond-faceted face of the Cadillac CTS-V. Road America is a four-mile ribbon of pavement snaking its way through the emerald center of the country's northern heartland. Since the 1950s it's seen uncountable fields of diverse racing machinery rocket over its hills and around its 14 corners. I would imagine that on those occasions the tramping of onlookers and hubbub of vehicles, both competitive and commonplace, would dissuade a great number of our six-legged friends from making their way onto the track. But today it's just me turning laps. Inconceivably just one journalist, driving the baddest roadgoing Cadillac ever made, on one of the loveliest circuits America has ever carved out. So big-winged bugs made it out to me in a vast array and a tragic sum, and I drilled through them oblivious to anything but one of the greatest days of driving I've ever had. Cadillac has turned its CTS-V from a performance sedan to a monster. For 2016 Cadillac has turned its CTS-V from a performance sedan to a monster worthy of the carnage described above. The words "epic" and "awesome" are hilariously overused on the Internet, but in the case of the CTS-V's 6.2-liter supercharged V8, their literal meanings are fitting. The capacity to produce 640 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque is astounding. Feeling those outputs come to growling life under my foot arch, uncorks different reactions in my brain as the day wears on: first trepidation, next cautious optimism, finally red-eyed bloodlust. A glance at the power and torque curves will show you that the charged V8 behaves more like a naturally aspirated thing than a turbo'd on/off switch. Peak torque arrives at 3,600 rpm, horsepower at 6,400, giving the engine lovely, linear power delivery. Even with top torque happening near the middle of the tach, there's no small amount of the stuff when the engine first spins up, so launching all 4,145 pounds of Detroit iron still feels exotic. Launching all 4,145 pounds of Detroit iron still feels exotic. On the roads around Wisconsin, using all of the available power is hardly advisable, but I have no trouble driving this fast car slowly (sort of).

A few signs that Cadillac's revival is taking hold

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Only a flatworm would not have predicted the Cadillac ATS would help increase sales for America's erstwhile luxury brand of record; however, even the best automotive oracles didn't realize by how much: The ATS fueled a 49-percent increase of the brand's year-on-year sales in March, the sixth straight month of growth for Cadillac. The momentum helped push General Motors to post a 6.4-increase in sales in March versus 2012, leading its domestic competitors.
Dealership salesmen are among the first to register the shift occurring at Cadillac. A Texas dealer related an incident in which he helped a mother affix a baby seat in a car for a test drive, explaining that as opposed to the older buyers that are still a Cadillac mainstay he's getting "a pretty diverse group that's coming through the door now" who are "younger and better educated." Aided by incentives on the ATS, Cadillac's sales are up 38 percent so far this year, overtaking Acura as the fourth best selling luxury brand, and GM stock is benefiting with incremental gains because of it. Based on early response, the new 2014 Cadillac CTS should keep things going in the same direction.
The trend at the Wreath and Crest is part of a larger sales trend happening among domestics - with other models like the Dodge Dart and Ford Fusion doing well - and overall US car sales. Head over to Bloomberg for the big picture and role the ATS plays in it.

Cadillac CT6 ushers in new naming convention

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Johan de Nysschen has been at his new post as president of Cadillac for not even three months , but he's already seen two of his most notable accomplishments from his two-year tenure as president of Infiniti matched by Cadillac. The brand has announced that it is relocating its headquarters, and is now officially changing its nomenclature.
The brand's new flagship model will abandon the familiar three-letter designation enjoyed by every other model in the range (aside from the Escalade), and adopt an alpha-numeric title. So, rather than the expected title of LTS, Cadillac's top-end car will be called the CT6.
Of course, this won't be limited to just one model. According to Cadillac's press release, "familiar lettering like 'CT' would be used for car models, with the number indicating the relative size and position of the cars in the hierarchy of Cadillac models." And yes, that means what you think it means - Cadillac will use the exact same naming formula, albeit with different letters, as Infiniti.
