1978 Cadillac Eldorado Base Coupe 2-door 7.0l on 2040-cars
Clearwater Beach, Florida, United States
We are selling this all original 1978 Eldo from our private collection. The miles on this car are 32,000 and is stated as such on the title by the Florida DMV. Although we are not the original owners of the car, it has been in our collection for some time. We have taken the car on road trips, car shows and events. The chrome is in impeccable condition, all the rubber seals around the windows are original and show no signs of cracking or deterioration. The paint is 100 % original along with the urethane bumper extensions which are as pliable (soft) as they day they came out of the factory. The car was stored by the original owner in a climate controlled garage in Wyoming. The paint shines like a mirror and is also original. The interior is 100% perfect, the leather seats are original and soft, no cracks in the dashboard or door panels, carpets are perfect. Look closely at the photos I'm providing. The interior, motor, trunk have NEVER been professionally detailed....nor do they need to be. The body has been polished by hand and to the best of my knowledge, has never been machine buffed. Yet, it shines like a mirror. The car does have a few minor stone chips and a couple extremely minor, barely noticeable dings. The car truly speaks for itself. It is extremely hard to find a true survivor in this kind of condition. The car is available to be seen by appointment. I reserve the right to end the auction early. Bidders must call before bidding with less than 5 positive feedback scores. $ 500. deposit is required within 48 hours. Balance due within 7 days, cash or wire transfer.

2015 Cadillac Escalade
Fri, 29 Aug 2014I have never liked traveling to Monterey, CA. The picturesque coastal city is about 300 miles from my home in Los Angeles, which means cramped and uncomfortable regional aircraft are part of the equation when the turnaround is only one night. Over the years, I have cursed the LA Basin's bumper-to-bumper traffic en route to the airport, argued with TSA personnel over carry-on baggage and waited countless hours for the fog to lift just for the anguish of being packed into a small regional jet for the flight. Of course, the process repeats on the trip home with equal misery.
Yet this time I am not suffering.
Cadillac has dropped its all-new 2015 Escalade in my driveway. Instead of battling city congestion, attempting to reason with misinformed government agents, snacking on a too-small bag of pretzels and physically rubbing shoulders with a dubious stranger for 90-plus minutes within the confines of a bumpy aircraft, I have chosen to forgo air travel and drive myself door-to-door in a fullsize luxury sport utility vehicle.
Consumer Reports loves the 2014 Cadillac CTS
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Our first drive of the 2014 Cadillac CTS was just published today... we really liked the Vsport version. And Consumer Reports has some even stronger words of praise for the all-new luxury sedan. We already knew that Cadillac had stepped up its game with the third-gen CTS, but CR bluntly states that the sedan drives better than its German luxury counterparts.
While CR shows plenty of love for the new CTS, the outlet still takes issue with some of the in-car technology including the CUE infotainment system - no surprise there. The testers' offer all manner of positive comments where the impressive handling capabilities of the sedan are concerned, with lots of drifting around CR's private test facility in evidence to bear them out. Scroll down to watch the CTS get put through its paces.
Ghostbusters' Ecto-1 detailed in behind-the-scenes video
Thu, Jun 9 2016The Ghostbusters reboot is coming, ready or not. And along with a gender swap between the 'busters and their secretary, the team's trusty chariot, Ecto-1, is getting a refresh. It's still a specialized Cadillac, but that's where the similarities end, judging by the new featurette you see above. Instead of a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance, 2016's Ecto-1 is a 1982 Cadillac Deville. And instead of being built to keep people from dying, the new car is meant to transport the dead. Yep, it's a hearse. It's hard not to find some kind of hidden meaning there, but this video doesn't mention it. What we have learned here is that the way the new Ghostbusters acquire their vehicle is a little bit different than it was in the original film. In the 1984 version, Dr. Ray Stantz, played by Dan Aykroyd, bought the 1959 ambulance for $4,800 – the equivalent of $11,000 today – despite a litany of problems. It was clear in the film that Ecto-1 was dilapidated long before the Ghostbusters breathed life back into it. But in the new film, the team acquires Ecto-1 from the uncle of Patty Tolan – Leslie Jones' character. And based on the film featurette, it looks like it's in solid shape before the team adds its distinctive livery and logo. You can learn more about the car, see parts of the build process, and hear the cast and crew talk about it in this two-minute featurette. Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15. Related Video:
