1973 Cadillac Eldorado. This was a one Doctor owned car when I purchased it about 4 years ago. It is a beautiful Metallic Green with one high quality base clear repaint. I put new tires and a new aluminized exhaust when I purchased it and put on about 500 miles. Since then its been in storage. This was stored in a climate controlled facility with heated floors and dehumidifiers. The engine compartment is dusty in the pics. The interior is Green Houndstooth and beautiful, no wear on the seat at all. Drives like new. I dont say this about many old cars but fly in and drive home anywhere. I have many cars and need to thin the herd. Please dont ask reserve unless you are the high bidder. If you win the auction and come to get it and its not everything I said it was dont take it just cancel the auction and well part friends. 2015 Cadillac Escalade configurator lets you bling it your way
Fri, 21 Mar 2014It's Friday, so there must be a new configurator to play with. While last week we showed you how to build your own McLaren 650S, today's ride is a bit more common. It's the 2015 Cadillac Escalade, a vehicle that you've been able to colorize since the end of last year, and which is sure to be an increasingly common sight on US roads in the coming months.
For those that have played with the build-your-Caddy tool, there's not much new here, aside from the vehicle being configured. The Escalade is available in three trims and two wheelbases, with prices spanning from the SWB, two-wheel-drive Standard, which starts at $72,690, on to the all-wheel-drive, long-wheelbase ESV Premium, which kicks off at $86,790. The options list, meanwhile, isn't hugely extensive. A rear-seat entertainment system and power-retractable side-steps (only available on the Premium trim) are the two notable options, while customers will have their choice of six exterior paints and two to three interior schemes, depending on the trim level.

Cadillac considering more engines, Vsport model for Escalade
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Want to roll in the latest Cadillac Escalade? You can get it with a 6.2-liter V8... or a 6.2-liter V8. Cadillac only offers the one engine option. But that may soon change.
According to the latest from Automotive News, Cadillac is contemplating a couple of new powertrain options for its blingin' big ute. The report suggests a twin-turbo V6 and a V6 turbodiesel could be offered, and that Cadillac could create a Vsport version of the Escalade like it offers on the new CTS sedan.
The more diverse engine offerings would help attract buyers from the new Lincoln Navigator, its prime competitor, which switched from a 5.4-liter V8 this year to a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6. The turbo V6 engines (both gasoline and diesel) would also help Cadillac market the Escalade overseas - particularly in Europe, where higher fuel prices preclude the prospect of driving a big V8 SUV for many buyers. Escalade sales have dropped from 35-40k units in the mid-2000s to around 12,000 the past couple of years.
Cadillac HQ has a New York address
Sun, 16 Nov 2014The new home of Cadillac will be in the 330 Hudson building in New York City's Hudson Square, putting the luxury marque smack dab in the middle of three of the city's hippest areas, SoHo, Greenwich Village and Tribeca.
The announcement is yet another milestone in the company's controversial decision to relocate administrative and marketing operations away from Detroit and into the Big Apple.
"The addition of a headquarters office in New York is a key step in Cadillac's ongoing global expansion," Cadillac boss Johan de Nysschen said, according to The Detroit Free Press. "There is no better atmosphere in which to better immerse ourselves into luxury consumer and brand expertise."
