1973 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR THREE YEARS. I BOUGHT IT FROM A ANTIQUE STORE THAT WENT OUT OF BUSINESS IN CAVE CREEK AZ THEY USED IT AS ADVERTISEMENT AND WERE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS. IT STARTS EVERY TIME I GET IN IT. I AM SELLING IT TO HELP BUY A HOUSE. IT WAS YELLOW AND I HAD IT PAINTED RED A YEAR AGO. THE DASH BOARD WAS WRAPED PRIOR TO ME OWNING IT. THIS IS A SOUND CAR BUT NEEDS A NEW TOP AND SOME TLC. I HAVE THE VHEICLE INSPECTION REPORTS FROM THE ARIZONA DMV IF YOU WANT TO SEE THEM I WILL EMAIL THEM UPON REQUEST. THE TIRES ARE A YEAR OLD FROM DISCOUNT TIRE AND THE BATTERY I JUST BOUGHT. I HAD A NEW DISTRIBUTOR CAP, DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR, PLUGS AND WIRES PUT IN 10-2011. IT HAS CURRENT REGISTRATION IN ARIZONA UNTIL AUGUST 2014. Cadillac CTS Vsport laps the N"urburgring in 8:14.10 [w/video]
Wed, 28 Aug 2013You don't have to be German to test your car at the Nürburging. You just have to be serious about beating the Germans on their own home turf. That's why Nissan tests its GT-R at the Nordschleife to challenge the Porsche 911, and why Cadillac - which is no less serious about putting up a fight to German performance sedans - has returned to the 'Ring once again with its latest.
This time it's the turn of the new CTS Vsport, the sportier version of Cadillac's new mid-range sedan that aims to bridge the gap until the arrival of the next CTS-V. So how'd it fare? At the end of what we're sure was an exhaustive test session, the new CTS Vsport clocked a time of 8:14.10.
To put that into context, General Motors points out that the time places the new sedan six seconds ahead of the first-gen CTS-V, whose 400-horsepower V8 engine was actually less potent than the Vsport's new 410hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6. That's still a good fifteen seconds slower than the outgoing CTS-V that clocked a 7:59 in 2009 with its 556hp supercharged V8, but only a second behind the E60-generation BMW M5 with its high-revving 500hp V10.

Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:

Cadillac upgrades ATS sedan to match new coupe
Thu, 10 Jul 2014The big news when it comes to the Cadillac ATS for 2015 is surely the addition of the new coupe model, but that doesn't mean that Cadillac has forgotten about the sedan as well. In fact GM's luxury brand has rolled out a few choice enhancements for the four-door to bring it more in line with the new coupe.
Among those changes that we spotted a couple of weeks ago is a new front fascia that incorporates the brand's new wreath-less emblem, and a sleeker front bumper. The interior has been upgraded as well with new trim options as well as some new tech including Siri Eyes Free functionality, dictated text messaging and optional inductive smartphone charging.
Though the ATS Coupe does away with the base engine, sedan buyers can still opt for the 2.0-liter four with 202 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque. The 3.6-liter V6 carries over unchanged at 321 hp and 275 lb-ft, but the 2.0-liter turbo four gets the upgraded torque rating of 295 lb-ft (the highest in the range) to go with its 272 hp.
