This car is an all numbers matching, 59,000 mile auto with a 390 CI engine. It has had extensive work done and it shows. The original hydra-Matic transmission is recently rebuilt with about 100 miles on it by an older man that actually built the cars when they came off the original assembly line. 22 inch rims and tires, one of a kind, embossed, Memphis Audio sound system installed by the owner of a very well known car audio company, Traffic Jamz, in Hooksett, NH who actually owned the car for a bit and traded it for a $40,000 Custom motorcycle. The $1400 custom exhaust is a year old and barely used and the $6,000 ostrich skin interior mimics the stock look perfectly yet gives a super plush relaxed recliner ride anywhere you or others could sit. Some cars turn heads, this car stops traffic. Truly a classic that must be seen.

I cannot stress enough how great of a find this car is in my opinion. The original miles and numbers matching status gives you such a strong start. Then to have the tranny all redone moments ago while adding thousands and thousands into it to give it a custom look while not tampering with being able to go right back to original is perfect. One could find a set of stock rims and tires and about be back to that. The prior owner and myself have spent endless hours and money fine-tuning the little things. New four core heavy duty radiator, new heater core (just needs to have the hoses reconnected), new electric seat switch at the door anew electric seat motor underneath. Currently set to full recline which is perfect position for most until the connecting of the two can be finished. The car is near dent less short of one crease across the rear drivers side of the hood. The car starts and runs beautifully and the high end custom exhaust makes it sound throaty and pleasant together. I have taken the car recently on a three hour drive and it sails like a dream down the road. There is a bit of a looseness in the front end that will need to be checked out but is most likely a single issue like a pitman arm, etc. as it drives wonderfully short of that one bit of wander. These cars are selling for $15k plus with nothing done to them. With a little more personal dialing in this car is ready to win car shows from either a stock stance or continue the customization and easily win that way.

Please email, call or text me with questions. The car is also on multiple ads in Craigslist and Hemmings so I have the right to stop auction early because of that. You DO NOT see a car deal like this often, don't miss your chance.

GM faces possible class action lawsuit over 8-speed transmission

    Thu, Apr 25 2019

General Motors has been hit with a class-action lawsuit from owners who allege the eight-speed automatic transmission found in several rear-wheel-drive Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC models between the 2015 and 2019 model years has a defect that causes the vehicles to hesitate and jerk when accelerating or slowing down. The lawsuit was posted to ClassAction.org and spotted by GM Authority. Problems with GM's Hydra-Matic 8L90 and 8L45 transmissions have been well-documented on Internet forums and via complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with many reporting damage to their vehicles. The lawsuit was first filed in December in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida but appears to have been transferred recently to New York. Autoblog sought comment from Theodore Leopold, the lead attorney for the plaintiffs. "These transmissions have a common defect," the complaint reads. "Drivers attempting to accelerate or decelerate their cars feel a hesitation, followed by a significant shake, shudder, jerk, clunk, or 'hard shift' when the vehicle's automatic transmission changes gears." The problem also occurs when the vehicles accelerate in a single gear, without shifting, the plaintiffs allege. "Drivers have reported that the shift is sometimes so violent, they feel as though they have been hit by another vehicle." The problem is believed to center on the transmission, torque converter or both. The complaint says it causes undue friction, causing hydraulic systems and gears to function improperly and sometimes leaves metal shavings throughout the transmission, leading to costly repairs and replacement of parts or the entire transmission. It says GM has known about the problems since shortly after it introduced the transmissions, and has issued 13 technical service bulletins, none of which have resolved the problem. GM declined to comment on the lawsuit. The plaintiffs say GM should have warned consumers about the issues and covered repairs under each vehicle's three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. They're seeking statewide classes in at least six states: California, Florida, Illinois, New York, Oklahoma and Texas.

Cadillac XT3 caught covered in copious camouflage

    Wed, Feb 15 2017

While a bit difficult to tell thanks to the impressive camouflage used, what we're looking at here is likely the upcoming Cadillac XT3. There are a few details that stand out to lend credence to this prediction. There are a handful of sharp angles scattered throughout that are in line with Cadillac's modern design language. Specifically in the LED running lights and on the side mirrors. The rear profile also is reminiscent of the current, and slightly larger XT5. The rear lights extend into the D-pillars, which would match the current Escalade. We get a pretty clear picture of the rear suspension on this XT3. It's clearly an independent rear suspension using coil springs. While General Motors uses independent suspension on some of its crossovers, we can't quite match it to a particular model. We believe that if the XT3 is based on an existing model (which it almost certainly is), the platform and suspension have been substantially modified. The XT3 could use a version of the D2XX platform that underpins the Buick Envision. However, we know from a previous report that the XT3 will likely be built at the factory that produces the Buick LaCrosse and Chevy Malibu. The XT5 uses a modified version of the LaCrosse/Malibu platform, so it's possible the XT3 could use a shorter version of the XT5 chassis. Depending on how small the XT3 ends up being, it might even share a platform with the Chevy Trax and Buick Encore. However, considering their economy car roots and torsion-bar rear suspension, we think that's the least likely. Regardless of what chassis is underneath its crisp bodywork, we expect the XT3 to be released sometime next year. Related Video:

Cadillac could 'flourish' in Australia, says marketing chief

    Thu, 13 Mar 2014

Cadillac might have its best product mix in recent history, and GM's luxury brand is looking to expand. In fact, it might even be making a trip Down Under, at least according to the company's global marketing chief.
Uwe Ellinghaus spoke with Australian site Car Advice at the Geneva Motor Show and said the brand could be quite successful there. "[The] goodwill that the Cadillac brand has is such a good starting base that once we get proper volume commitment and a dealer network behind it we can easily flourish," he said, though he warned that the plans are still in their earliest stages and years away. First, Cadillac will expand in markets with the highest possible sales, like China and Russia.
Ellinghaus said that the most likely models for Oz would be the SRX, Escalade and CTS; the latter would probably act as a replacement for the Holden Commodore. GM's Australian arm is ending local production in 2017, and there have been many rumors about what is happening to the big sedan. However, Ellinghaus admits exporting cars from the US to Australia is going to mean higher prices. In addition to the expense, Cadillac doesn't currently build any right-hand-drive models. It would likely take until the end of the decade before the Aussie models could be ready.
