I bought this car at an estate sale. What I know is the owner I purchased from bought in 1993, with 18000 miles. Everything on the car is in working order, and is absolutely beautiful! If you are looking for a smooth car this is it. Not many of these left in this condition. Nada says msrp in 89 was over $25000. Currently $5475. Asking less than that. You can call me 8:00 am till 9:00pm monday thru saturday central time zone 815-297-5558, name is Chris. I am an Illinois dealer so there is fees to an Illinois buyer(tax title and license) all other states there is a $100 documentation fee on top of winning bid unless you are from a state that I am required by law to collect for. If you are not sure call or email and I will let you know. I require a $500 nonrefundable deposit within 24 nours of auction end, no exceptions! Bid confident and be often this will sell and will be a great deal for someone. I have been personally driving this car and getting 20+ mpg in a full size luxury car, not bad! No question is a stupid question so feel free to ask and I will answer. Don't assume anything if you are not sure ask. It is sold as-is no exceptions no implied warranty. I do have an extended warranty available for a fee from a third party warranty company. That can be discussed when you pick up. Due to paperwork required for this transaction I cannot ship, must be picked up.

2014 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year finalists announced [w/poll]
Tue, 10 Dec 2013The 2014 North American International Auto Show is right around the corner, which means it's high time we found out which cars and trucks would be finalists for the prestigious North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year awards.
The finalists - three in cars and three in three trucks/utilities - are dominated by American brands, with two-thirds of the finalists hailing from either General Motors or Chrysler (don't worry Ford, there's always next year), while outliers from Mazda and Acura can be found in each contest. Here now is the list of finalists for the big prizes:

Combative de Nysschen defends Cadillac move, naming change
Mon, 29 Sep 2014
Johan de Nysschen isn't afraid of taking quick, decisive actions, even if they are criticized. Since taking the wheel at Cadillac, he instigated moving the luxury division's base of operations to Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood and introduced a new naming scheme for the future of the brand, like he did at Infiniti. The polarizing boss recently explained his feelings about the future of Cadillac in more depth on his Facebook page, but unfortunately only his friends could read it. Thankfully, Daily Kanban posted much of the strongly worded missive for the whole world to see.
Much of the message examines the decision to move some employees to New York. De Nysschen claims that it's all about giving Cadillac distance from Detroit to reshape itself. It allows for, "No distractions. No side shows. No cross-brand corporate considerations. No homogenized lowest common denominator approach. Just pure, unadulterated, CLASS."
Cadillac picks Publicis as new agency of record, continues cutting ties with Campbell Ewald
Fri, Dec 5 2014Cadillac is setting itself up for major changes in the coming years with its decision to hire Johan de Nysschen as the brand's new boss and moving some of the staff to new digs in the trendy SoHo neighborhood of Manhattan. With those two big shifts in place, there's one more on the way with the company's announcement that Publicis Worldwide is now its global creative agency of record, effective immediately. The firm replaces former, long-time General Motors associate Campbell-Ewald; now a portion of Lowe and Partners. "This appointment is designed to accelerate the global expansion and elevation of Cadillac into a truly global luxury brand," said Cadillac Chief Marketing Officer Uwe Ellinghaus in the company's announcement. "We have spent much of this year refocusing on the core values of our brand." Although, some work may remain at Lowe and Partners for now. According to Cadillac spokesperson David Caldwell via email to Autoblog: "The bulk of work makes this shift. It is possible that maybe a small individual smaller project or two might still be handled by Lowe. Not certain yet." The fruit of this new partnership shouldn't take long to mature, either. "We will have substantially new marketing and brand identity work in early 2015." said Caldwell. According to Ad Age, Cadillac's advertising had been handled by Lowe and Partners, Campbell-Ewald in Detroit (now entirely part of Lowe) and Hill Holiday. Caddy had a relationship with the agency since 2013 but has changed firms several times in 2006. GM had a long collaboration with Campbell-Ewald, though. Chevrolet was its partner for nearly a century until the automaker also jumped to Publicis in 2010. The firm was responsible for campaigns like, "The Heartbeat of America", "Like A Rock" and "An American Revolution." Scroll down to read Cadillac's full announcement of the change. Cadillac Appoints Publicis Worldwide 2014-12-04 DETROIT – Cadillac announced today the appointment of Publicis Worldwide as its global creative agency of record.
