1999 Cadillac Deville Base Sedan 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Freeport, Texas, United States
I am selling my Cadillac due to cancer medical bills. The Cadillac is in great ride and good shape except for crack in windshield. Runs, drives good, and good tires. I still have the car financed and after sale can get the title from bank. Just cant afford it anymore. The car has 60,000 miles on it and I am the second owner. I bought from a car dealer local. I replaced long time back rear air shocks. The interior is good shape no tears just normal wear tear. Kinda tan gray interior color and I will add photos of that. Has couple dings not bad just from careless people and shopping carts. Take a look at my car as it has lots of life and service left. It is attractive and still good. It gets by the gauge in the dash 19 miles to the gallon average. It has very good power with the large engine. I have this listed locally also so I hold the right to sell it to individuals locally. It has to be picked up locally when purchased and take cash, cashers check. I will obtain title as soon as possible for the new owner from normal banking hours. |

J.D. Power study sees new car dependability problems increase for first time since 1998
Wed, 12 Feb 2014For the first time since 1998, J.D. Power and Associates says its data shows that the average number of problems per 100 cars has increased. The finding is the result of the firm's much-touted annual Vehicle Dependability Study, which charts incidents of problems in new vehicle purchases over three years from 41,000 respondents.
Looking at first-owner cars from the 2011 model year, the study found an average of 133 problems per 100 cars (PP100, for short), up 6 percent from 126 PP100 in last year's study, which covered 2010 model-year vehicles. Disturbingly, the bulk of the increase is being attributed to engine and transmission problems, with a 6 PP100 boost.
Interestingly, JDP notes that "the decline in quality is particularly acute for vehicles with four-cylinder engines, where problem levels increase by nearly 10 PP100." Its findings also noticed that large diesel engines also tended to be more problematic than most five- and six-cylinder engines.
GM outlines strategy for new products, growth in China

"Our strategic plan is a pathway to earn customers for life and create significant shareholder value in the process." - Mary Barra
General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
