Very NICE 1989 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with 71,000 miles! She is in above average condition, daily driver, smooth ride, classic Cadillac Style, she is loaded with all the bells and whistles and pretty good on gas mileage. Currently registered, smogged and tagged through November 2013. Interior is also in above average condition with the exception of a tear on the drivers door, see picture.
The GOOD:
*NEW Radiator
*NEW Water Pump
*NEW ERG Valve
*NEW O2 Sensor
*NEW Tune Up
*Recent Brake Work
*Replaced Fuel Tank
*Replaced Battery
*Replaced Fuel Pump
*Good Tires
The NOT-SO-GOOD
*AC Compressor will likely need to be replaced or it just may need to be charged.
*Power button on Stereo system recently stopped engaging. I have rigged it to work.
*The handle/lock on glove compartment is missing (see pic).
*Hood lifts need to be replaced.
In short, the car is in damn good shape for it's age and can be counted on to run very well for the foreseeable future - oh yes, did I mention 71,000 miles??? Don't let this classic slip through your fingers. Shipping/pickup is the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for taking a look at it and hit me up by email with any questions you may have.

GM's Mark Reuss explains why a performance Cadillac ELR-V won't happen
Tue, Mar 18 2014Hey, I've got enough things to worry about. That's one interpretation of General Motors executive vice president Mark Reuss' response to a question posed by Driving the Nation about the recently-introduced Cadillac ELR plug-in hybrid. Reuss said GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR. The question was whether GM would consider adding magnetic ride control to the quite-powerful-for-a-plug-in Caddy, creating an "ELR-V" model in the process. Reuss' non-answer: "Good question, can't really answer that," but then elaborated that magnetic ride control uses up "a lot" of power otherwise spoken for in terms of providing the longest electric-only range possible. Interestingly, he did add that GM will "definitely expand the tuning envelope" for the ELR, as you can see in the video below. With the model retailing for north of $75,000, fewer than 60 percent of US Cadillac dealers were carrying the ELR as of last month and just 99 ELRs were sold during the first two months of the year. In an effort to sell more vehicles, GM said in January that it would offer the ELR for a 39-month lease for $699 a month for qualified lessees and with a $5,999 down-payment required. Autoblog's First Drive impressions of the ELR can be found here.
C7 Corvette won't spawn new Cadillac XLR [w/video]
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Between the new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray and the even newer Cadillac Elmiraj Concept shown off at Pebble Beach, we were already expecting some sort of chatter of a Cadillac XLR redux. During an in-depth C7 Corvette discussion with Tadge Juechter, the car's chief engineer, Fox News asked if a Corvette-based, Bowling Green-built Cadillac will be built off the C7. Non-spoiler alert: the answer is no.
Juechter says that General Motors has "no intent" on transforming this car into a Cadillac product since the C7 has been optimized for the Corvette buyer, a consumer that's generally a different sort of person than a Cadillac intender who might also be cross-shopping a Mercedes-Benz SL-Class or BMW 6 Series.
While we're not ready to write off a future XLR altogether, we assume that the Corvette Cadillac experiment is most likely never going to happen again. The interview with Juechter is posted below, but the XLR discussion comes in at the 9:00 mark.
Cadillac highlights craftsmanship in latest Escalade teaser videos
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.
As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.
