Thank you for viewing my 1977 Cadillac Coupe Deville with only 30,252 miles that I have owned for almost two years now. When I purchased this car I wasn't in the market for another classic car, but its condition made it an absolute must-have. The best cars are like the best women, they never show up when you're ready. I had never seen one in such pristine shape, so much so that it even has that new car smell we all remember from way back when. Every time I get in and go for a drive I'm reminded of long family roadtrips in the late seventies and early eighties in cars just like this one when the highway speed limit was 55 mph and we'd always have the cruise set right at 64 mph. Even something as small as the litter can in the far right corner of the passenger footwell brings back some pretty powerful memories. It has been an absolute joy to own this Coupe Deville and I am hoping it will find a new home with someone who will appreciate it and enjoy it as much as I have. The photos show what nice shape it is in, and all the power options work as they should. The power windows, power seats, power antenna, the original factory option channel search FM stereo all operate flawlessly, and even the clock still works! The A/C blows cold as well. The tilt and telescopic steering wheel adjusts nicely for drivers of every height.
Rather than try to convey the incredible condition of this Cadillac in words, I've posted over 200 photos of the body, interior, trunk, engine compartment and undercarriage. Please view them at the link below and pay special attention to the original and unmolested condition of the underbody. The GM factory red primer used on the floorpans is still in pristine condition, the brake lines have not a spot of wear and even the inside of the frame rails are just like new. This is as close to traveling through time and walking into a Cadillac showroom as I can imagine.
If you are a serious buyer I would love to speak with you, or even if you simply love Coupe Deville's as much as I do and would just like to tell me about yours, I always like to hear about classic cars that have stood the test of time. If you make an offer that I am seriously considering, I will contact you via email before accepting it just to confirm you are a real person and that you do understand the payment terms detailed in my listing. I find everything works much more smoothly if we touch base on these items.

Cadillac releases updated 2015 CTS
Sun, 10 Aug 2014Cadillac is in the process of applying the new wreathless emblem across its range one model at a time, but rather than simply slap the new logo on the existing models, it's taking the opportunity to roll out some revisions as well. First came the ATS coupe, followed by the updated ATS sedan, and now the flagship brand in the General Motors portfolio has quietly announced some revisions for the CTS sedan as well.
For the 2015 model year, the CTS - which was just introduced last year - gets a revised front end with that wreathless crest but also a new chrome grille with active aero elements on standard models and a black-chrome grille on the Vsport. The revised grille is flanked by new headlights, but behind them the engine lineup carries over: a 2.0-liter turbo four with 272 horsepower, a 3.6-liter V6 with 321 hp or - in the Vsport performance model - a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 with 420 hp that's still the most powerful V6 GM has ever made. All engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission (ditching the six-speed auto on previous versions) and (apart from the RWD Vsport) can be had in rear- or all-wheel-drive flavors.
Cadillac has also given the updated CTS some new electronics (including inductive smartphone charging, onboard wifi, and more advanced parking and lane assist systems) as well as new wheels, trims and color options, details on which you can read in the press release below.
Consumer Reports loves the 2014 Cadillac CTS
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Our first drive of the 2014 Cadillac CTS was just published today... we really liked the Vsport version. And Consumer Reports has some even stronger words of praise for the all-new luxury sedan. We already knew that Cadillac had stepped up its game with the third-gen CTS, but CR bluntly states that the sedan drives better than its German luxury counterparts.
While CR shows plenty of love for the new CTS, the outlet still takes issue with some of the in-car technology including the CUE infotainment system - no surprise there. The testers' offer all manner of positive comments where the impressive handling capabilities of the sedan are concerned, with lots of drifting around CR's private test facility in evidence to bear them out. Scroll down to watch the CTS get put through its paces.
Chip Foose is bringing life to a Cadillac sketch from 1935
Sun, Aug 7 2016General Motors, automotive home of Harley Earl, was a pioneer in the early days of car design. But for as many wild concept cars and even production cars as the company's studio created, there were still many that never got off the paper. Chip Foose is working to change the fate of one of those designs. According to Foose Design, Chip Foose's latest project is based on a sketch from 1935. Car dealer Wes Rydell and his wife Vivian commissioned a custom Cadillac coupe that was sketched out by GM designer Art Ross. It would take an existing Cadillac sedan, shorten it, lower it and give it a removable hardtop. The drawing is as far as the project got. Now Chip Foose is working on realizing the design in real life using a 1939 Cadillac Series 60 Sedan. He plans to follow the initial design brief, but with his own unique touches. He has also named the project "Madam X" in honor of what Harley Earl would call client projects. It is scheduled to be finished and ready for unveiling at the end of the summer. Foose is a well-known designer who has won some of America's most prestigious custom car awards such as the Ridler Award and designed vehicles for the TV show Overhaulin'. The final product should be quite a striking machine. You can see how it's coming along, as well as Foose's sketch of what the car will finally look like, in the gallery above.
