I guess the hardest part of downsizing/retiring is having to give up your toys. I will be loosing the use of the building in the pictures, and no longer have such a wonderful place to keep my cars. So, hard as it is, some of them have had to go, and now is the hard part of giving up a couple of my favorites.
If you ever wanted one of the last of the 'real' Cadillac, here is your chance for a very nice one! This fine Caddy is for the most part original. She has not been repainted, but there are a couple places that have been touched up over the years. Overall, a very attractive car!
The interior is completely original. Steering wheel good, absolutely no cracking on the dash or door panels. The leather is still soft and comfortale. It is just what your would expect from a car that has always been kept in the garage. I have seen newer cars , less than 5 years old, that did not show as fresh as this Cadillac. She is just beautiful!
The electrical options work properly, with the exception of the antenna and radio. The radio lights up, but does not sing.
The tires were installed last November. Only have about 500 miles, at most. They are the correct WW for the '76, with an original to the car still in the trunk for the spare.
I believe this car could be driven coast-to-coast with confidence. Of coarse, she is 36 years old, and anything can happen. I drove her to Stephenville 3 weeks ago, and what an amazing driver she is! Thumbs up evertime I get her out. These cars were great when new, and just driven to death. Even though many have survived, not many as nice as this one. She's not perfect, but very nice!
If you have anyone in the area, or yourself, to make an inspection, please contact me. I will make every effort to the Cadillac available.

Cadillac expects major growth in China
Thu, 25 Sep 2014The US sales issues facing Cadillac are not being paralleled in the People's Republic of China, as a new report from Automotive News indicates the US luxury maker should see its sales increase by as much as 40 percent.
The report cites Cadillac's own forecasts, which put its 2014 sales in the PRC at 70,000 units after cresting 45,000 vehicles at the end of August. Provided the sales pace holds true through 2015, the brand would hit its new 100,000-unit sales goal, AN reports.
"We're very optimistic about the luxury market, we believe that the luxury market by 2016 here will become the largest luxury market in the world, surpassing even the size of luxury in Europe," GM China President Matthew Tsien told AN. "With [Cadillac president] Johan [de Nysschen], we have somebody that really is an executive that understands luxury, but he also is very, very keen on understanding what do we need here in China for Cadillac to be successful."
Cadillac snags de Nysschen from Infiniti, names him new president
Fri, 11 Jul 2014Johan de Nysschen, the (now former) president of Infiniti, has officially jumped ship. The 54-year-old, who also spent time as the chief executive for Audi USA, has taken the position of president at Cadillac, following a two-year stint at the Nissan-owned luxury brand. In his new role, the 54-year-old will be responsible "for all aspects of Cadillac globally," according to a statement from General Motors.
"Johan brings to our company vast experience in the development and proper execution of luxury automotive brands," said GM President Dan Ammann, de Nysschen's new boss. "With over 20 years in this exact space, especially in the development of the Audi brand, his track record proves he is the perfect executive to lead Cadillac for the long term."
"I have for some time now been impressed by how the new General Motors has been transformed into a formidable force in the industry," de Nysschen said in a statement. "The combination of strong corporate leadership and exceptional engineering resources presents the perfect combination to restore Cadillac to its place among global premium brands."
Corvette's Performance Data Recorder headed to other cars, will Cadillac ATS-V be first?
Fri, 14 Nov 2014For 2015, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray gained a novel piece of high-performance technology: The Performance Data Recorder. This trick system combines video from a front-mounted camera with in-car data and GPS information to help drivers record and study their lap times, complete with data overlays. While it's a clever tool for track days, it's also finding popularity as a built-in dash cam of sorts. To this point, the technology has been a Corvette exclusive, but General Motors' executive vice president of global product development, Mark Reuss, has confirmed to Autoblog that it will soon be available in other vehicles.
At a media luncheon on Thursday, we asked whether GM was keen to expand usage of the technology to other models, and if we could expect to see something soon. Reuss coyly replied, "What's soon?" When we suggested the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V (which is scheduled to debut at next week's LA Auto Show), he replied, "There will be other uses, and it won't be that far away. How's that?"
Certainly not an outright confirmation, but we wouldn't be at all surprised to see the next high-po Cadillac roll under the klieg lights at the Los Angeles Convention Center next Wednesday brandishing more than just 450 horsepower.
