!969 Coupe Deville Convertible. All new suspension, steering, brakes, bushings. Fresh th400 trans. with new converter. interior is ok. seats are black with full power and are in nice shape no rips or tares. dash is good no cracks. door panels need some help. very good glass. good stainless, good chrome. top is pretty nice just needs some time with some bleach white and a scrub brush. Wire wheels in good shape, some corrosion from wheel weights. the engine is a 472 that is tore down to the short block. had good compression when i took it apart. I was just gonna rebuild it because it was out of the car. the lower front fenders behind the wheel wells need to be replaced. floors seem pretty good, it was undercoated along time ago, trunk floor is soft in a couple areas. would make a great bar hopper or an awsome parts car. i have $3000 in new parts in the thing, just dont have time or space to work on it anymore. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.

Cadillac highlights craftsmanship in latest Escalade teaser videos
Wed, 25 Sep 2013Cadillac, in case you haven't heard, is unveiling the new Escalade on October 7, completing the redesign of General Motors' large SUV range. The event is proceeding with the regular degree of "teasers" and "leaked images" that is typical of the automotive world, nowadays.
As the new Escalade's reveal date grows closer, Cadillac is trumping up interest for the new SUV, debuting five short teaser videos on its YouTube channel. While not showing much about the Escalade itself, the spots reveal plenty about its materials. Real wood and hand-stitched leather are highlighted, while we get another glimpse of the Escalade's vertically oriented headlights. Take a look below for all five spots.

The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
